Recently, the feasibility study report of the highway project from Youxi Xiangshan to Banmian section of the national highway G534 was approved by the Fujian Provincial Development and Reform Commission.
The section from Youxi Xiangshan to Banmian is an important part of the G534 line of National Highway, with a total length of about 13.1 kilometers and a total investment estimated at 446 million yuan. The route starts from Xiangshan Village, Taixi Township, Youxi County, passes through Qingxi, Fengshan, Xiji, Yuandou, Datouqiao, Xiachuan, and finally reaches Banmian Village, Banmian Town. The whole line is constructed according to the standard of secondary roads, with a design speed of 60 km/h and a cement concrete pavement. The construction of the project is of great significance to improve the layout of Youxi provincial trunk road network, improve traffic capacity, alleviate the transit traffic pressure of market towns along the line, reduce potential traffic safety hazards, promote the development of tourism resources in the surrounding areas, promote regional economic development, and enhance emergency support capabilities.
In the next step, the Youxi County Transportation Bureau will accelerate the preliminary design of the project and other related preliminary work, and strive to start construction of the project as soon as possible.
