When Qi Baishi asked him about his identity, the old man sincerely confessed that he had been a eunuch in the palace.
In the old society, the status of eunuchs was undoubtedly the most humble. Despite this, the old man still maintained a refined demeanor. He said that he was willing to take the initiative to guard the gate for Qi Baishi, and did not ask for any compensation. In return, he only hoped to get some artistic breath from Qi Baishi, the master. After hearing this, Qi Baishi couldn't help but be moved by the old man's honesty. He immediately decided to entrust the old eunuch with the important task of guarding the door. Since then, the old man has been silently guarding the gate of Qi Mansion, creating a peaceful and peaceful creative environment for Qi Baishi.

It wasn't until many years later that the old eunuch, who was already old, could not continue to work, so he proposed to Qi Baishi to resign. Qi Baishi knew the old man's selfless dedication, so he immediately nodded and agreed, and wanted to reward him with a lot of money, but the old man flatly refused. The old man made only one simple request: "If my husband can give me a few autographed paintings as a souvenir, I will be grateful." When Qi Baishi heard this, he couldn't help but burst into tears. It turned out that what the old man said in the past was not a polite remark. He immediately picked up the pen and inkstone, integrated many years of friendship and affection into Danqing, completed a number of extremely expressive paintings for the old man, and personally put his own seal to show his attention.

When the old eunuch received these paintings, he was full of joy and couldn't help shaking his head and sighing. He never dreamed that his unintentional words could be so successfully fulfilled today. You must know that Qi Baishi is a world-famous master painter, and he actually sincerely reflects the kindness of his insignificant servant.
In this way, in Qi Baishi's garden, a simple but touching friendship was born between the two old men. Although their identities are different, they treat each other with sincerity. Qi Baishi generously donated money and gave back to the old man with his paintings, while the old eunuch worked silently and made a modest contribution to the master's creation.
