This could be a fake online loan scam!
On May 2, He Mou, a villager of Ganhaizi Village, Nagu Town, Huize County, Qujing City, received a strange text message, which read, "The amount of a certain platform has a usable amount of 189,129.7 yuan, which has passed the review today, and I clicked the link to withdraw ......."
He, who was tight on hand, immediately clicked on the link to download an APP. After entering the APP, He saw the loan promotion page on the website that was unsecured, no credit investigation required, and arrived in seconds, so he immediately filled in his personal information and applied for a loan amount of 189,129.7 yuan. After the operation was completed, He found that he could not withdraw money. Immediately, He got in touch with the "customer service" of the website, and the "customer service" said that He's bank card was abnormal and needed to be unblocked, so He downloaded another APP. In the APP, He operated according to the "customer service" prompts, and at this time, the other party asked He to transfer money to the designated account on the grounds that the loan card number was entered incorrectly and the bank card needed to be unblocked, and He believed it in a panic, so he transferred 10,000 yuan to the other party's designated account.
After the transfer, He did not get the loan as promised, and the "customer service" also said that due to his operation error, he needed to transfer 5,000 yuan to another account to unblock the bank card. At this time, He realized that he had been deceived and called the police.
At present, the case is under investigation.
Fraudsters issue loans in the name of "no collateral", "no guarantee", "instant arrival", "no credit investigation", etc., attracting victims to download fake loan apps or log in to fake websites, and then bombard them repeatedly in the name of "activation fee", "security deposit" and "verification fee", so as to commit fraud. To prevent this type of fraud is to keep in mind that any online loan that requires the payment of membership fees, security deposits, unfreezing fees, certification funds and other fees is a fraud. The general public should not believe all kinds of phone calls, text messages, apps and social networking sites for loan advertisements. Don't download or click on unfamiliar apps and network links, and don't easily tell others your bank card number, ID number, verification code and other information. If you are accidentally deceived or encounter suspicious circumstances, please pay attention to keep the evidence and immediately call the police at "110" or "96110" for consultation.
