At the donation ceremony, the Second Chongzhou Hospital and the Red Cross Society of Ganzi Prefecture respectively introduced the 2023 Ganzi Prefecture Rescue of Disabled Patients and the Five-Year "Guan" Love and "Help" Action for Plateau Disabled Patients.
Over the years, Chongzhou No. 2 Hospital has been committed to providing medical assistance to Ganzi Prefecture and Aba Prefecture, and the medical team has covered more than 30 counties, providing timely and effective medical services for the local people. Under the unified organization of the local Red Cross Society, the medical team focused on patients from difficult families, low-income households and patients from special difficult households, and carefully arranged for them to be admitted to the hospital for surgical treatment, so as to effectively solve the practical problem of local patients with physical disabilities who are difficult to see a doctor.
Up to now, the Second Chongzhou Hospital has screened more than 18,000 patients with limb disabilities on the plateau of Ganzi Prefecture and Aba Prefecture, and successfully performed more than 2,400 surgeries. The hospital not only exempts and exempts the cost of surgery, treatment, materials, and drugs for patients in difficulty by up to 9.1 million yuan, but also provides surgical consumables and drugs worth more than 50 yuan free of charge, reducing the financial burden of patients with practical actions. In addition, the hospital also donated a total of 3.84 million yuan to support the relief work of the Ganzi and Aba Red Cross Societies.
The Second Chongzhou Hospital said that it will strengthen cooperation with the Red Cross Societies of Ganzi Prefecture and Aba Prefecture, continue to care about and support the medical assistance of the disabled, carry out long-term and effective medical assistance for poor patients, and jointly contribute to the health and well-being of the local people.
