At the training class for young and middle-aged cadres at the Central Party School (National Academy of Administration) in the spring semester of 2024, General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized that young cadres are the new force in the development of the cause of the Party and the country, and the successors of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics. General Secretary Xi Jinping's earnest entrustment is not only the "first lesson of the school year", but also the "action mobilization order" full of expectations, which reflects the requirements of the times for our party's young cadres to be consistent and consistent, and encourages the majority of young cadres to run the baton of history on the new journey and strive to become a pillar of talent who can be used and shoulder heavy responsibilities.
Strengthen the theoretical armament, and always learn and always enter the soul. Political firmness and party spirit firmness are inseparable from theoretical firmness. In order for young cadres to grow up and be competent in their work, they must enhance their theoretical attainment, which is the most fundamental ability. In the first place, we must always adhere to the spirit of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, always learn and innovate, always understand and progress, systematize, learn and deepen the scientific system and essence, grasp the worldview and methodology contained in it, deeply understand the new leap in the sinicization of Marxism achieved in the "two combinations", and constantly internalize and deepen the transformation, so as to enter the brain and heart into the soul. The stronger the belief and the more determined the practice, the more young cadres should persist in combining theoretical study with practical application, consciously use the party's innovative theories in the new era to observe the new situation, study the new situation, and solve new problems, so as to achieve the unity of knowledge and action, apply what they have learned, and earnestly improve the level and application ability of Marxist theory.
Firm ideals and beliefs, loyalty to the party. The virtue of the world is nothing more than loyalty. Only when young cadres have firm convictions and are loyal to the party can they have clear eyes and clear minds, can they withstand the wind and waves, and can they stand firmly, go far, and be reliable at all times and under all circumstances. If you vacillate and have impure goals, you will often not be able to withstand the test, and your selfish thoughts will be full of distractions, and you will even run away from the battle. Young cadres' loyalty to the party is not abstract but concrete, and it is not conditional but unconditional. In the new era and new journey, young cadres must be sincere and loyal to the party, always take the party's banner as the banner, the party's will as the will, and the party's mission as the mission, deeply understand the decisive significance of the "two establishments", resolutely achieve the "two safeguards", and enrich the political soul and strengthen the spiritual pillar with political loyalty.
Take the mass line and cultivate the feelings of the people. Maintaining flesh-and-blood ties with the masses of the people is the fundamental guarantee for our party to be in an invincible position and a fine tradition that needs to be passed down from generation to generation. Young cadres must understand that how much you value the masses is how heavy you are in the hearts of the masses; If you put the people in your heart, they will lift you above their heads. No matter how the times change, the original intention of serving the people cannot change, young cadres must follow the mass line, take the people's yearning for a better life as the goal of struggle, firmly pursue the value of common prosperity, and actively devote themselves to the fiery practice of Chinese-style modernization. Care for the safety and well-being of the masses with heart and affection, regard yourself as a member of the masses, take the affairs of the masses as your own affairs, seek more strategies to benefit the people, do more to facilitate the people, and solve the worries of the people's livelihood. We should conscientiously enhance our ability to do mass work, master the basic skill of investigation and study, sink down, take steps, be down-to-earth, understand the situation, truly discover the problems faced by the masses, reflect the opinions of the masses, and sum up the experiences created by the masses.
Always maintain the spirit of struggle and practice to take on broad shoulders. Being young is synonymous with vigor and positivity. Shouldering the heavy responsibility of the new era and promoting high-quality development, young cadres are duty-bound to always maintain the spirit of struggle, get up and act, bravely shoulder heavy burdens, and integrate their precious youth and magnificent life into the great cause of national prosperity, national rejuvenation, and people's happiness. Give full play to the advantages of young cadres' active thinking, consciously liberate themselves from the existing mindset, work inertia and path dependence, further broaden their work horizons and career patterns, untie the shackles, break through bottlenecks, and solve the difficult and blocking problems that need to be solved urgently in the work. Maintain the attitude of "breaking through and doing things", have the courage to take on the "hot potato", pick the heaviest burden, gnaw the bones that are difficult to gnaw, dare to benchmark against the advanced, compete with yourself, dare to think about big things, do big things, and achieve big things. It is necessary to take reform and innovation as a key move, adhere to the principle of establishing first and then breaking down, and breaking through quickly, strive to break the old concept of "can't", and have the courage to create "impossible" new achievements.
