Located on the Scottish island of Islay, Bunnahabhain is part of the Distell Group and was founded in 1881 as part of the Distell Group. The Whisky at the Buna Haben Distillery is special, and although it is located on the island of Islay, it does not advertise peaty flavors, but mainly emphasizes smooth taste and unique maritime flavors.
Every year, on the occasion of Feis Ile, the Islay Whisky Carnival, or the Islay Whisky and Music Festival, or the Islay Carnival, or the Island Festival, some distilleries on Islay offer special editions of the Island Festival, and Bunnahaben is no exception. In April 2024 and May 2024, Bunahaben has released four 2024 Island Festival wines, which are detailed at the end of this article.
On May 13, 2024, Bunahaben once again announced that it will launch another island festival wine at this year's Island Festival Bunahaben Open Day. This is a cask single malt whisky that was personally selected by Julieann Fernandez, Master Blender of Bunnahaben. This wine is barreled in Muscat casks (Moscatel Cask Finish) and is 27 years old, with 46.6% ABV by volume, 700ml capacity, 264 bottles bottled, and 30ml of the same wine sample is included.
The wine is currently available on the official website of Bunnahaben and is only available on the official website of Bunnaha, with an official price of 695 pounds, which is about 6,300 yuan at the current exchange rate. This wine cannot be mailed and can only be picked up at the Buna Ha Distillery on May 31, 2024 on the day of the Buna Ha Ben Distillery Open House.
