Last week, Apple unveiled two new iPads and several new accessories via online video.
The new product will be officially released on the 15th, and Apple will generally push the latest official version of the system to all users before the release, and this time is no exception.
In the early hours of this morning, Apple pushed the official version of iPadOS 17.5 and other systems to users.
iOS 17.5 is generally available
The official version of iOS 17.5 is 21F79, and the size of the update package will vary greatly depending on the model and the current system version.
Not much has changed in this version, just a few minor tweaks.
- Rainbow wallpaper
Added 5 rainbow wallpapers, designed from the colorful colors of the rainbow flag, with dynamic effects when locked/unlocked.
- Screen Time
A new function of "" has been added to "Settings - Screen Time - Communication Restrictions".
- Podcast (optimized)
The color of the podcast widget matches the show cover, in addition to the added functionality.
However, this audio-to-text feature is not yet supported in all works, and will be gradually improved in the future.
- Books (optimized)
Apple's own Books app has been slightly optimized to adjust the style of reading progress at the top of the app.
- Website Distribution Features (EU Users)
iOS developers in the EU can distribute their apps to iPhone users directly through the website, and we have nothing to do with it at this time.
- New Icons (Optimized)
Added the icon for "Access to web browser passkeys" in Settings - Privacy & Security.
- Fix bugs
The official version of iOS 17.5 fixes 15 vulnerabilities including maps, screenshots, voice control, etc., but fortunately, none of them have been exploited by hackers so far.
That's all the changes in the official version of iOS 17.5, with little or no desire to update.
Not surprisingly, the subsequent versions of iOS 17.5 will not have new features, and it is likely to be bug fixes and patches.
With iOS 18 just a month to go, Apple will gradually shift its focus to the new system.
This version can basically be old-aged, and if you want to stop the level, you can consider stopping in this version or the next version.
