It is understood that Chen is an elite visa holder, who used it to live in Thailand and launder money for a telecom fraud ring, and the amount involved is huge, and the total value of items seized by the police on the spot reached 42 million baht. After his arrest, the police checked the man's mobile phone and found that he was using an app to manage multiple digital wallets for a Cambodian telecom fraud ring.
Chen, on the other hand, lives in a mansion and has hired a Thai agent to buy several properties in cash, and he holds a 5-year visa because he is a member of the Thailand Privilege Card Program (Thailand Elite Card). In this regard, Thailand's Central Bureau of Investigation is currently focusing on criminals who enter Thailand with such visas, as they usually use this type of visa to facilitate entry and exit.
Not only that, the police also found that Chen's wife and three children all live in Thailand and have Thai nationality, and his three children acquired Thai citizenship after he allowed his wife to marry a Thai man, who became their stepfather. According to Thai media sources, the Central Bureau of Investigation is currently working closely with the Bank of Thailand, the Securities and Exchange Commission and digital asset business operators to develop strategies to prevent similar incidents from occurring.
