On May 10, the 2024 International Tea Day and the 5th Daejeon Beauty Tea Festival were held in Pingshan Township, Daejeon.

During the event, the participating leaders and representatives of tea enterprises jointly sounded the gong and opened the tea for Daejeon Beauty Tea. The event also carried out activities such as shouting mountains to open tea, tea poetry recitation, and held a tea industry development promotion meeting to exchange tea beauty planting and processing technology, display and promote Daejeon beauty tea, and promote the high-quality development of Daejeon beauty tea industry.

Gao Yang, deputy head of the Datian County People's Government, said that there are similarities between the regional environment and production process of Datian Beauty Tea and Taiwan's Oriental Beauty Tea. After years of exchanges and integrated development, each has its own advantages and characteristics. In the next step, Datian County will give full play to the advantages of the same root and the same source and complementary resources, build a cross-strait beauty tea exchange platform, and hold a series of beauty tea activities. Harmony with tea, and jointly tell the story of "a beautiful tea, the relationship between the two sides of the strait". Let beauty tea become a business card for the integrated development of the two sides of the strait in Fujian Province.

In recent years, Datian County has given full play to the advantages of alpine ecological resources with good mountains, good water and good air, adhered to the green road, played the ecological card, regarded the Datian beauty tea industry as the leading industry, vigorously supported and developed the ecological tea industry, cultivated the ecological organic, fruity and honey charm of Datian beauty tea, and walked out of a road of tea enrichment because of tea and tea prosperity.
At present, Datian County has a tea garden area of 100,000 acres, 1,310 processing plants, an annual output of 16,200 tons of tea, and an output value of 4 billion yuan in the whole industrial chain, of which the county has a total area of 70,000 acres of suitable Datian beauty tea, with an annual output of 4,300 tons, accounting for more than 70% of the national beauty tea output.
At the same time, Datian County also took advantage of the bond of beauty tea and Taiwan's oriental beauty tea to actively promote cross-strait exchanges and cooperation by holding activities such as Fujian-Taiwan tea cultural exchanges, and built a bridge of communication and friendship for compatriots on both sides of the strait.
