The phone prompt sounds
A text message pops into view
When I opened it, I was instantly stunned
The protagonist of "Nude Photos" turned out to be himself
The sender said even more arrogantly
If you don't pay the money obediently
The nude photos will be posted online and made public
What should be done in the face of such a threat?
Real-world examples
Recently, the Jinan police received a report from a citizen, Chen, saying that he had been extorted.
On the day of the incident, Chen received a text message with pictures showing intimate photos of him and a woman in his room, and the other party asked him to get in touch with a mobile phone number as soon as possible. then claimed that if you want to solve this problem, if you don't want this photo to be made public, you have to take out 500,000 yuan as a "hush money", and you won't wait!
Chen realized that this was a fraud and immediately called the police.
After comparison, although the face of the man on the "nude photos" is that of the policeman Chen, this so-called "nude photo" is actually a fake photo synthesized by PS technology.
According to the investigation, Chen had stayed at a homestay twice before the crime, and connected to public WiFi, and his personal information was stolen.
Police analysis
Criminals will collect personal information such as the victim's basic information, photos, and mailing addresses in advance, and then use computer software to transfer flowers and trees, and use PS technology to synthesize "nude photos" or AI technology to synthesize "indecent videos" to extort the victim's property.
Although this kind of fraud is easy to identify, scammers can often succeed, because they have grasped people's psychology of cherishing their reputation, and they are afraid that they will be framed by scammers if they do not transfer money, so they will have the idea of "breaking wealth and eliminating disasters", and choose to settle things and further fall into the trap of scammers.
Important Reminder
1. Do not connect to unknown WiFi when you go out to stay, especially the free WiFi that does not require a password, to avoid the risk of loss of money and theft of personal information.
2. Don't panic when you receive such information, so as not to fall into the trap of criminals, please call the police immediately, and never "break the fortune and avoid disasters"!
3. If you are accidentally deceived, pay attention to keep pictures, videos, texts, and transfer records, and call 110 in time.
