As part of the 11 million square meter Haizhu Wetland Park, as a rare mansion in Chengyang Park in first-tier cities, the design presentation of Zhonghai Dajing is destined to carry such a proposition full of highlights and expectations:
That is how to deal with the relationship between "people and scenery", so that nature, architecture and people's lives in this forest can be integrated, symbiotic and deeply interact.
In the inspiration of the site, Zhonghai Dajing takes "the leisurely posture in the shade of the tree" as the inspiration picture, and diverges the integrated expression of the overall architecture, landscape and interior space, starting from the imagination of a "tree form" to the completion of a "forest mansion in the forest", the design responds to the unique spirit and value of the place in this case with the creation of an ultimate scarce experience.
In the night, a glass box under the cover of the dense forest is so light and transparent, like a container full of light, and the elegant style reflection of the exhibition interface has become one of the ultimate expressions of the appearance of this case.
The shape of the building is inspired by the shape of the tree—the trunk, the crown, and the treetops—and the monolithic building is homogeneously cut to form a progressive functional division of the overhead layer, the large flat floor, and the garden layer. In the glass box, two huge pillars interspersed diagonally, like the translation of tree trunks, rise from the ground and support the skeleton of the entire building.
The treatment of the space on the first floor is like combing the ideas of the space through the placement of the block box on a free and open plane.
Here, the presentation of the "glass box" is not solidified into a conventional rectangular frame, but through the rhythmic control of space or opening or closing, creating the interlacing and splicing between boxes and boxes, boxes and open platforms, so as to create a "sense of breathing" in which people are constantly walking, walking out and entering in the place and nature.
The flowing waterscape, tall trees, and open courtyard are interspersed with the roaming circulation line of the first floor at any time, and the ultimate expression of the pure glass curtain wall conforms to the meaning of this flowing nature, blurring the strict boundary between the inside and the outside, and extending the space infinitely.
At this time, nature is in the building, and space is in nature, and they are so lightly connected and bridged together.
Here, the designer uses the psychology and visual art concept of "picture base transformation" to integrate the "shape" and "background" in the space, creating a space feeling full of artistic visual expression.
The incisions at different angles and the irregular interspersed façade form an artistic staircase with a trapezoidal mouth running through the three-storey building, and the space volume up to 15 meters is covered by metal texture paint, which is like the luster of brass and the delicate concave and convex texture against the backdrop of dotted luminous yellow light, opening the threshold of people's senses with the grand impact of scale and vision.
When people enter this space, their attention will constantly switch between the shape of the space and the background, and the part that was originally thought to be the wall is only realized that it is a part of the space shape created by the design technique after climbing a step up, and this reversal and illusion deepens people's memory of the space in a completely artistic way.
The light of heaven pours down, flowing and expressing on the different cut facades, softening the original angular spatial entity. On this basis, the design is ingenious, and at the bottom of the staircase, the "pond canal" is constructed to introduce a water feature. Walking up the stairs along the light, the sound of water in the ears is murmuring, and there is a hole in the sky......
In this project, we do "addition" based on the existing conditions of architecture and landscape, including the site, and how to guide and enhance people's feelings in a more concrete way under the premise that the advantages of the site are so clear. Our choice is to break the mold and make a difference.
Use the creativity of design to create differences, and use the sense of surprise of experience to respond to people's real demands.
The space on the second floor creatively introduces the concept of a "large flat floor" functional framework, which fully opens up the field of vision with the outward extension of the landscape surfaces on both sides, and brings the unobstructed feeling of spaciousness into the expression of the interior of the space.
However, our design is not satisfied with a straightforward and regular spatial narrative, but constantly seeks or creates opportunities internally, and presents our design thinking on the premise of the ultimate expression of the project:
One of our actions is to be bored with the routine operation of the sunken functional arrangement in the framework of the "large flat layer", and to create balance and surprise in the visual relationship of the space through the "hollowing" at the top.
The tops of different functional areas are "hollowed out" to form skylight ceiling lights that are both ornamental and assume the function of space lighting. The metal texture paint, continuing the retro and delicate texture of brass, moves people's eyes upward, bringing a change of mood and rhythm to the space.
The second action is to respond to the material itself according to the characteristics of the material, the warmth expressed by the wood and the volume represented by the stone, and cut into the appropriate volume in the appropriate location, so that they can nest and merge with each other and become one.
