After bottle feeding, nipple confusion:
Because the nipples are cracked and painful, the way of feeding will change.
The nipple on the side that did not appear chapped still insisted on feeding.
If you have a chapped nipple, you can choose to use a breast shield or use a breast pump to express breast milk and feed it to your baby.
When the baby in confinement has not yet formed a good tacit understanding with the mother's feeding. It is not recommended to use bottle feeding so early, if you do not do a good job of controlling the milk volume of the bottle, and do not imitate the feeding habit of bottle feeding, it is easier for the baby to form nipple confusion. How to chase milk when the amount of milk is reduced:
On the side where there is no problem with the nipple, breastfeed first and let the baby suck as much as possible.
On the cracked side of the nipple, the mother can choose to use an ultra-thin milk shield, and when the baby finishes sucking, she will use the breast pump to express the remaining milk, so that the amount of milk at one time will be closer to the mother's real breast milk production.
The most important thing is to suck and feed frequently, first suck the mother's milk, and then feed the stored breast milk if it is not enough.
