Maeda Miyuki (born 14 October 1985) is a Japanese female badminton player. Born in Kirishima City, Kagoshima Prefecture, graduated from Kumamoto Chuo High School in Kumamoto Prefecture, and was a member of the badminton team of Renesas Electronics Corporation (Kyushu, Yamaguchi) and Zaichunkan Pharmaceutical Institute, team member number 10, and served as the badminton team of Zaichunkan Pharmaceutical Institute on April 23, 2018.
After retiring from the military, Mishun Maeda entered the television industry and changed careers to become a journalist.
The Japanese players interviewed by Maeda, who currently works for J SPORTS, are basically only a generation away from her.
Some of them have also competed with Maeda and asked them questions after the match, and Maeda admits that there are some genuine emotions involved.
"This is my first time as a journalist," Maeda said. I've been a commentator for a while and I know everybody, because I've played against them, so sometimes I'm a little nervous when talking to them, but the rest of the time I'm just enjoying it. ”
'If the players win, I'm happy together, but if I lose, I'm sad because I can feel what they feel.
As a player, Maeda first partnered Satoko Suezuna and later with Reika Gakiwa at the end of his career, and their presence paved the way for Japan's women's doubles domination.
Maeda and Suetsuna finished fourth at the Beijing Olympics and third at the 2011 World Championships. After Suetsuna's retirement, Maeda and Reika Gaki won the 2014 World Championships.
In the Super Series, Maeda and Suetsuna have won the India Open in 2011 and 2013, as well as the Denmark Open in 2010 and a five-time runner-up finish.
Maeda won third place in the 2010 Yupo Cup with Japan, reaching the final four years later, and some members of the team went on to win the historic Yupo Cup in Bangkok four years later.
The experience leaves many memories
Maeda recalled: "It was obviously very difficult for the Chinese to beat at that time. I'm very happy with the progress of the Japanese Women's Doubles, I think the level is improving all over the world now, but our players have obviously improved a lot, and our generation has benefited from our predecessors, as well as Misaki Matsutomo, Ayaka Takahashi and others. ”
All of this is something to be remembered for Maeda.
"It's really hard for me to pick the most memorable moments because there are so many memories of that, but I've been to the Olympics twice and I often think about a lot of things I've experienced in my badminton career."
