According to Thai media news, on May 10, Mr. Cha Vacharon, a spokesman for the Office of the Prime Minister of Thailand, revealed that Thai Prime Minister Saita and his delegation will visit three countries from May 15 to 24, 2024.
He said that Prime Minister Saita and his delegation will first travel to Paris, France, to lead the Thai business delegation to the "Thailand-France Business Forum & Roundtable" from May 15 to 16. The visit, which is the second meeting between Prime Minister Saita and President Macron in 2024, will extend the areas of cooperation between Thailand and France, especially in the areas of trade and investment, defense industry and soft power.
After the French trip, Prime Minister Saita and his entourage will travel to Italy for an official visit, with side events in Milan and Rome from 17 to 21 May. During the meeting, Prime Minister Saita will hold bilateral talks with Italian Prime Minister Meloni with the aim of strengthening the potential of cooperation between Thailand and Italy in various fields, such as renewable energy, sports tourism, national defense, and the promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises.
In addition, he further said that after the European trip, Prime Minister Saita and his delegation will travel to Tokyo, Japan from May 22 to 24 to attend the 29th Nikkei Forum Future of Asia, where Prime Minister Saita will deliver a speech aimed at building investor confidence and attracting more investors to invest in Thailand.
