At about 2 o'clock in the morning, a rapid phone rang, and Li Fengqin, who was sleeping soundly, immediately got up and quickly rushed to the medical area with a flashlight. Li Fengqin, the head nurse of the 14th batch of Chinese peacekeeping medical teams in South Sudan, has been in the mission area with the team for more than five months. In the emergency room, a foreign female patient is pale and in pain. The doctor on duty told Li Fengqin that the patient had sudden abdominal pain and diarrhea, accompanied by nausea and vomiting, and had already developed symptoms of dehydration, and was initially diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis. "Quick, establish intravenous access and hurry up for fluids." Squatting in front of the bed, Li Fengqin quickly performed a puncture to monitor vital signs...... After more than an hour, seeing that the patient's condition gradually stabilized, Li Fengqin was relieved. "In the emergency department, there is no day or night, as long as the patient needs it, it is always working time." Li Fengqin said, "This is the belief that I have always adhered to in the army for 30 years. "Last year, the 989th Hospital of the Joint Logistics Support Force received the task of organizing a peacekeeping medical detachment, and Li Fengqin signed up as soon as possible. In order to improve the efficiency of diagnosis and treatment, Li Fengqin led everyone to use the rest time to carefully count the medical consumables and register them reasonably. After many days of hard work, Li Fengqin and her comrades-in-arms completed the storage of all medical consumables. Looking at the neat warehouse, everyone gave a thumbs up and praised: "Easy to access, standardized management, clear base." "She cares for patients with heart and affection, she is a warm-hearted sister." The medical staff of the detachment took out a photo of Li Fengqin and the patient and told a heartwarming story. In late April, a female foreign peacekeeper came to the medical team with symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and abdominal distention, and was initially diagnosed with incomplete intestinal obstruction. After a period of treatment, Li Fengqin found that although the patient's symptoms had eased, his mood was still low. Through patient conversations, Li Fengqin learned that although this patient was on her fifth peacekeeping mission, the environment in the mission area still made her uncomfortable, and her recurring illnesses caused her a lot of psychological pressure. "Overcoming disease starts with confidence." During that time, Li Fengqin often explained to the patient the importance of a reasonable diet for the recovery of the disease, and specially prepared three meals a day according to the patient's situation. Under Li Fengqin's careful care and patient guidance, the patient's mood gradually improved and he began to actively receive treatment. On the day of discharge, the patient offered to take a photo with the medical staff of the medical team, and the moment the photographer pressed the shutter, she held Li Fengqin's hand tightly. "The smiles of Chinese peacekeepers can dispel the gloom in their hearts and bring precious hope. Every healing you give, every word of comfort, is full of respect for life and prayer for peace. Li Fengqin wrote down the patient's evaluation in a notebook. It also reminds her to faithfully fulfill the sacred mission of maintaining peace and protect her life and health.
