A miniature museum at the doorstep integrates nature, history, meteorology and ship culture in an innovative way, providing citizens with a new place for family parent-child knowledge and fun experience. A few days ago, the immersive mobile museum located on the fourth floor of Shanghai Nanxiang Impression City MEGA was officially opened to the public.
Thanks to the strong cooperation of the Shanghai Natural History Museum, the Shanghai History Museum, the Shanghai Meteorological Museum and the Jiangnan Exhibition Hall, the Big Expo Museum brings an educational and entertaining museum space to the public. As a mobile museum at the doorstep, it brings a new immersive experience, disseminates traditional culture and social encyclopedic knowledge for the public, and educates and entertains.
In the first quarter of the museum's opening, the Shanghai Museum of Natural History specially planned the exhibition "The Top of the Snow Mountain: The Source of the Three Rivers" for the Big Expo Museum, leading everyone to learn the colorful history and culture of the Three Rivers Source. Through vivid exhibition design and on-site explanations, the public will feel as if they are in Sanjiangyuan National Park, and experience the charm of wild animals such as red foxes, Tibetan antelopes, and snow leopards up close.
Chen Xiaopin, the manager of the Big Expo Pavilion, said that the theme of the exhibition will be changed regularly every quarter. In addition to the Sanjiangyuan Exhibition, the Jiangnan Marine Ship Exhibition, the Meteorological Cloud Exhibition and the Auspicious Culture Exhibition will be held in the future, so that the museum, commercial and cultural bodies can be better integrated.
In order to cooperate with the exhibition, the museum will also launch parent-child handicraft theme courses in nature, culture, science and technology, and ocean, and set up multiple experience areas. In the aesthetic area, intangible cultural heritage handicraft area and small vocational experience area, children can become little stone grinders, archaeologists, and carpenters, and experience the charm of traditional culture through a series of hand-made courses, such as "Ancient Papermaking", "Glass Beads", "Intangible Cultural Heritage Lacquer Fan", etc.
