Looking at the previous decoration renderings, you will find that almost every bathroom will be designed with a top spray. But now the bathroom is almost all hand-held showers: why can't the top spray be sold?
I bought the shower during the e-commerce promotion in the first half of last year, and I have been using it for exactly one year now. Today, I took a break to summarize the use of the top spray shower, and found that it was all shortcomings-
I suddenly understood the reason for the low sales of overhead showers!
.01 Insufficient effluent pressure
Although my family lives on the top floor, the water pressure is normal. The picture below is the pressure gauge on the pre-filter in my house, which proves that the tap water pressure in my house is within the standard range▽
However, because the overhead shower is relatively high, and its water output is still very large, the water pressure flowing out of the overhead spray is very small.
How small is it? Let's put it this way: it is evident that the water is being sent to the back cover of the shower and then falling out of the lid in free fall. There is no "squirting" energy, just simply smashing down.
This results in a very low comfort of the overhead shower –
There is no imaginary feeling of standing under the waterfall, but more like the feeling of a college boy standing downstairs in the girls' dormitory and singing, and being splashed with a basin of water. It hurts to hit your body and it's incoherent.
.02 The water output is too large
The size of the top spray is too large and there are too many outlets, so the water flow rate of the top spray is large. The flow rate of ordinary hand shower is about 5L/min~6L/min; The flow rate of the overhead shower starts at least 12 L/min.

But in fact, for me, I don't feel sorry for the water bill. The problem that bothers me is the electric water heater in my house -
Electric water heaters are storage and have a limited capacity. Use an overhead shower and flush the water in the water heater for up to 15 minutes. For a girl, 15 minutes of flushing time is really not enough!
And the purpose of I bought a shower is to stand under the hot water and be wrapped in hot water, now not only is the flushing uncomfortable, but even the flushing time is limited to me.
.03 is too high to clean

The water quality in our local area is not good, so the water outlet of the shower is often blocked. Just like the picture above, the current is no longer downward, it has begun to float in both directions-
This is a sign that the outlet is partially blocked.
A more serious blockage will cause a certain outlet to not come out of the water. Now it's a big overhead spray, and the water output will become smaller than a hand shower when it is not cleaned for half a year.
If it's a hand shower, it's easy to deal with: the spout is made of silicone, hold it down and gently rub it to clean the shower inside. If you can't take a needle, you can poke a small hole through it.
The top shower can't be used, it's so high, you can't take it down. I cleaned the top shower twice this year, and each time I felt like my arms were about to break, which was more tiring than lifting dumbbells in the gym for one hour.
.04 Pull down the appearance of the bathroom
I bought this shower in the live broadcast room, and I thought it was quite good-looking. But when I installed it at home, I found that it was not the case: the live broadcast room had a large space, and the shower looked good. The bathroom was already cramped, and the shower felt like it couldn't be turned around.
The most unbearable thing for me is the pole in the middle
Hand showers are generally connected to the water separator with a hose, but the top shower can only be connected with this hard rod. Even if it wastes space, it will appear to be smaller and the floor height is lower.
.05 Increase the amount of housework
After installing the top spray, I feel that the amount of housework in the bathroom is twice as much as before. There are three main positions that are too difficult to clear:
(1) The top of the top shower, I haven't cleared it for a long time, find a stool to climb up and show you▽
The dust in this place can't be cleaned up, but if it accumulates too much, it will fall down. You take a bath underneath and it sheds dust on it, is this bath clean or "dirty"?
(2) It's the vertical pole I just complained about earlier! There is a gap between the pole and the wall, and limescale often remains in this gap. The scale is already hard to wipe, and the space here is still small, and the rag can't reach into it at all.
(3) This is another pit I stepped on - I bought a piano key shower▽
The top of the piano keys is flat, and it is easy to accumulate water, and when the stagnant water dries, it is limescale. Limescale can also accumulate in the gaps between the keys, and it is impossible to wipe it at all. The bottom of the key is pitted and there are more gaps. Not to mention wiping, I feel dizzy just by looking at it▽
These are the 5 main problems faced by the top spray shower, especially the piano key top spray shower! If I had to give it another chance, I'd rather go for a larger hand shower.
