On May 9, the Yuyang District Charity Association held a condolence ceremony for the key villages (communities) of the 2024 Charity Happy Home, and Liu Tieniu, president of the District Charity Association, attended the ceremony.
At the ceremony, the District Charity Association donated 22,000 kilograms of flour, 8,800 kilograms of rice, 500 sets of clothing, 168 boxes of disinfectant, and 42 bags of bleaching powder to 44 key villages of charitable and happy homes, and donated a total of 60,000 yuan of condolences to 12 key communities of charitable and happy homes, with a total value of about 514,000 yuan.
"Our village will definitely distribute all the materials to the village's happy homes for the elderly and the people in need, so that they can feel warmth and care, and we will continue to pass on this love, so that more people can feel the great love of charity." Jia Liao, deputy director of Zhaojiayuan Village, said.
"The concentrated condolence activities we organized are mainly aimed at the rural elderly happiness homes and urban day care centers based on charity and happy homes, caring for the elderly, helping the elderly, so that they can have a happy life in their old age." Liu Tieniu, president of the Yuyang District Charity Association, said.
It is understood that the "Charity Happy Home" project is a network charity project jointly initiated and implemented by the China Charity Federation and the Shaanxi Charity Association. As one of the first batch of pilot projects in the province, the Yuyang District Charity Association has claimed 393 village communities, realizing the full coverage of the creation of charitable and happy homes for village communities in the district. In 2024, the Yuyang District Charity Association plans to focus on building and upgrading 25 villages and 12 community charity and happy homes, further gathering charity forces, and providing strong support for comprehensively promoting rural revitalization.
