The Shanghai Petrochemical Team of the National Hazardous Chemicals Emergency Rescue Team successfully completed the "Emergency Mission 2024" super typhoon prevention and catastrophic flood disaster joint rescue exercise
On May 10, the Office of the National Flood Control and Drought Relief General Headquarters, the Ministry of Emergency Management, and the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government held the "Emergency Mission 2024" super typhoon prevention and catastrophic flood disaster joint rescue exercise in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province. As one of the participating forces, the Shanghai Petrochemical Team of the National Hazardous Chemicals Emergency Rescue Team selected 60 team members to participate in emergency pulling, mobile delivery, field camping, communication support, oil and gas pipeline leakage rescue and other subjects across regions, all of which were successfully completed.
The exercise simulated a super typhoon making a head-on landfall in Zhejiang, running through the entire territory of Zhejiang, causing catastrophic floods in many places. The exercise highlighted typhoon prevention and response to disasters such as river basin floods, urban waterlogging, and mountain floods, and realistically constructed the exercise environment and established the exercise subjects.
After arriving at the exercise camp, the Shanghai Petrochemical team quickly carried out field camping subjects, and the commanders and fighters had a clear division of labor and assigned their own duties, and completed the task of setting up 18 field tents within the scheduled time.

In the communication support subject, the Shanghai petrochemical team made full use of satellite portable stations, detection drones, 5G long-range communication and other technical equipment to quickly find stars, speed links, and form a high-altitude and ground integrated communication network space operation system at full speed, showing the strong advantages of modern communication support technology in emergency rescue and disaster relief.

In the oil and gas pipeline leakage rescue, the team members wore fire-fighting combat suits and air breathing apparatus, and used an 18-meter-high spray truck to simulate the leakage and injection of crude oil and natural gas pipelines; Two fire-fighting mobile guns were laid to protect the leakage area and adjacent pipelines, and to cover the pipeline maintenance units to carry out pipeline plugging, welding bypass, fixture plugging and other links.
The scene of the exercise
This exercise was the first national-level joint rescue exercise in which the Shanghai Petrochemical Team participated since its establishment, and it was also a cross-regional long-range mobile exercise with the largest number of participants, the most complete exercise subjects, and the most sophisticated equipment. In order to complete the exercise subjects with high standards, 60 members of the Shanghai Petrochemical Team have successively carried out 15 all-element joint exercises with high work intensity, comprehensive coverage and high technical difficulty, and organized 78 sub-subject trainings. We are not afraid of difficulties, continuous battles, repeated running-in, and have accumulated valuable experience in dealing with extreme disasters and accidents.
