Northwest University is a Ministry of Education and Shaanxi Province jointly built 211, "double first-class" construction of universities, the school has a long history of running schools, known as the "mother of Chinese petroleum talents", "the cradle of economists" and "the cradle of writers", "archaeology, geology" for the national "double first-class" construction disciplines, the existing 24 doctoral degree authorization points, 57 master's degree authorization points, 24 post-doctoral research stations, 37 majors selected as national first-class undergraduate major construction sites, the school is located in Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, built Taibai Campus, There are three campuses: Taoyuan Campus and Chang'an Campus.
In 2023, 38 students will be enrolled in 12 majors of science in Sichuan, with an admission score of 605, ranking 19797, down 991 places from 2022.
The school recruits 2 students in the separate code of "Cultural Relics Protection Technology", which is jointly organized with the University of Salento in Italy, using a 4+0 or 3+1 training model, double degree, annual tuition fee, and the admission score of this major has risen significantly.
Northwest University enrolls 18 students in 8 majors in Sichuan liberal arts, including 1 student in the "archaeology" major of A+ discipline, with an admission score of 573 in liberal arts in 2023, ranking 4603, down 1369 places from 2022, and the admission positions of all majors in liberal arts have declined to varying degrees.
