From the ordinary to the extraordinary: the life trajectories of Zhao Yang and Lin Hao
My name is Xiao Yun, and I grew up in an ordinary working family, although my family is not wealthy, my parents always taught me to have a vision and know how to see people from the subtleties. During my college days, I met two roommates with very different personalities, Zhao Yang and Lin Hao. He was diligent and hardworking, waking up early every day to go to the library for self-study, and was the last person to leave the classroom in the evening. His life was simple and fulfilling, always filled with a sense of positivity.
Lin Hao, on the other hand, comes from a wealthy family and his parents are entrepreneurs. He lived a carefree life since he was a child, enjoying material abundance. However, this life did not make him more mature and stable, but made him a little impetuous and lazy. He often skips class to play games or hang out with friends, and is always perfunctory about his studies.
Even though the two have very different backgrounds, I have a good relationship with them. I often observe them and try to see where they are going in the future from their behavior.
Once, the school organized a social practice activity, and the three of us were assigned to the same group. This activity required us to go to the countryside for a week to conduct research and understand the local development. This is a rare opportunity for Zhao Yang to gain a deeper understanding of rural life and the current situation. For Lin Hao, this event was an excuse to skip his studies.
Before the start of the event, Zhao Yang began to prepare carefully, he consulted a large number of materials, and formulated a detailed research plan. Lin Hao, on the other hand, had an indifferent attitude, he felt that he just had to follow everyone.

Although Lin Hao was born wealthy, he lacked the sense of responsibility and enterprising spirit he deserved. He indulges in pleasure and is unwilling to face life's challenges and difficulties.
After graduating, we each embarked on different paths in life. With his talent and hard work, Zhao Yang entered a well-known company to work. He has always maintained his enthusiasm and seriousness in his work, and has continued to learn and improve. His efforts were recognized and appreciated by the company, and he soon became the backbone of the company. And Lin Hao lost a lot of opportunities because of his laziness and indulgence. He couldn't find a suitable job and had to rely on his parents to help him live. He spends his days doing nothing, indulging in games and having fun, without any plans and goals for the future.
A few years later, I was fortunate enough to meet Zhao Yang again. He has become an executive in a company with a successful career and a happy family. He told me that he has always believed in the principle that "God rewards hard work". He used his hard work and sweat in exchange for today's achievements and happiness. And Lin Hao has been sinking in the quagmire of life and can't extricate himself. Although his parents were able to help him solve his material difficulties, they could not change his inner laziness and negativity.
In my conversation with Zhao Yang, I deeply felt the power of hard work and diligence. A person's background does not determine his future, only those who have the courage to face challenges and dare to pursue their dreams can continue to move forward in life and realize their life value.
Looking back on the life trajectories of Zhao Yang and Lin Hao, I can't help but feel a lot of emotion. They were originally on the same starting line, but because of their choices and hard work, they went to different paths in life. Zhao Yang used his efforts and talents to win success and respect, while Lin Hao lost the direction and opportunity of life because of his laziness and indulgence.
