This time, Liu Ziyun's 3rd Army and the 18th Division of the Kuomintang faced each other head-on, and the enemy soldiers pounced on our army, trying to surround our army. Fortunately, our troops discovered the enemy's conspiracy in time and made a breakthrough.
However, due to the large number of Kuomintang troops, our army could only hurriedly run to the vicinity of the hill to hide, while the enemy in the rear was in hot pursuit, and there was quite a posture of killing our army in one go.
At dawn the next day, the artillery fire still did not stop, and the Kuomintang troops rushed to our positions again and again, and our troops did not sleep for several days, even if they were exhausted, the soldiers raised their guns to repel the enemy.
Liu Ziyun also followed the team to counterattack for several days and nights, and finally they succeeded in annihilating all the enemies.
In the later period, the Kuomintang army launched many encirclement and suppression, in a vain attempt to destroy our army's base areas, but was repulsed by our army. In the fierce battle, Liu Ziyun gradually matured ideologically, became the platoon commander of the Red Third Army, and has been commanding the team to fight on the front line.

In the course of these counter-"encirclement and suppression" efforts, Liu Ziyun charged ahead, first consuming the enemy's strength, and then rushing towards the enemy's position like a tiger, annihilating all the enemy troops.

However, due to the failure of the fifth anti-"encirclement and suppression", the Red Army was forced to make a strategic shift and embark on the road of the Long March. Liu Ziyun followed the Red Third Army to the south.
