This is where I grew up, a place that was pampered by time and mountains, a place full of legends – Cliff Village.
The cliff village, named for its special location, is located deep in the canyon and is surrounded by steep mountain peaks. Here, there is no traffic, no high-rise buildings, only peace and tranquility. The houses in the village are built on the hill and are scattered like masterpieces of nature. And the most eye-catching thing is the only road to the outside world - the 800-meter cliff.
When I was a child, I used to listen to the village elders tell me about the cliffs. Legend has it that this cliff was built by a brave villager with his life and sweat. They carved a path through the cliffs, and step by step, they overcame many difficulties and finally opened a road to the outside world. However, over time, the path has been gradually buried by years and the forces of nature, and today, only scattered traces remain.
Despite this, the villagers of Cliff Village are not trapped in this isolated land. They try their best to find a way to get around. Some people choose to hike through the canyon and walk through the rugged mountain roads. Some rode livestock and carried goods through steep mountain roads. There are also some people who choose a more exciting way - taking the ropeway. The ropeway, like a silver snake, hovers between the cliffs, taking people thousands of meters into the air and experiencing the test between life and death.
I remember one time, I also walked along the ropeway with the people of the village. At that moment, I stood on the cliff at my feet, staring at the bottomless canyon, my heart filled with awe and excitement. I clutched the rope in my hand and stepped into the void, feeling the wind blowing across my face. At that moment, I felt as if I could hear my heartbeat and feel the power of life.
In addition to the ropeway, the cliff village also has a famous attraction - Waterfall Lake. Located deep in the village, Waterfall Lake is a natural lake surrounded by mountains and rivers. The lake is crystal clear, mirror-like, reflecting the surrounding mountains and trees. The most striking feature is a waterfall on the edge of the lake. The water of the waterfall is so strong that it falls down from the cliff and splashes a thousand snowflakes like a silver ribbon hanging in the air.
Every summer, the waterfall lake attracts countless tourists. They took a small boat and took a dip on the lake to feel the wonder of nature. For the villagers of Cliff Village, this is not only a beautiful scenery, but also a source of life. They live a simple and happy life by fishing and growing vegetables.
Although life in Cliff Village is difficult, the villagers still maintain an optimistic attitude. They bravely faced challenges, overcame difficulties, and held on to this land. They passed on this love and made Cliff Village a legend that will never die.
