"Maiko Cook" is a Netflix live-action drama with Hirokazu Kore-eda as the chief director and screenwriter, co-starring Nana Mori and Natsuki Exit, co-starring Ayaku Makita, Keiko Matsusaka, Ai Hashimoto, Mayu Matsuoka, Takako Tokiwa and others, and will be released on Netflix on January 12, 2023.
Based on Aiko Koyama's healing food manga of the same name, the drama is set in Kyoto's Flower Street, and tells the daily life of Kiyo, who lives with the Maiko and is in charge of their cooking, and her friend Sumire, who is also from Aomori and works as a Maiko, through the gorgeous world of Geisha and delicious cuisine.

16-year-old Kiyoshi (played by Nana Mori) dreams of becoming a beautiful Maiko. After graduating from junior high school, he left his hometown of Aomori and went to Kyoto with his friend Sumire (Natsuki Exit).
