Fast Technology reported on May 8 that Mercedes-Benz recently released official pictures of the 2025 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, announcing that the annual facelift model will increase the front comfort headrest and upgrade the automatic driving assistance system.
The new model is expected to be launched in China in the second half of this year. At present, the price range of the 2024 Mercedes-Benz S-Class on sale in China is 962,600 yuan to 2,042,600 yuan.
The 2025 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is the same as the current model in terms of appearance, but with two new paint options: Silver Green Metallic and Velvet Brown Metallic.
The body size is the same as the current model, and 19-inch and 20-inch rim options are available.
The new car is also equipped with Mercedes-Benz's Level 3 autonomous driving system, Drive Pilot, which enables the 2025 Mercedes-Benz S-Class to achieve Level 3 autonomous driving functions in regions where regulations permit.
In Europe, the new model will support automatic lane change and active overtaking functions.
At the same time, in order to improve the comfort of autonomous driving assistance, the front comfort headrest has been upgraded to help reduce driver fatigue.
In addition, the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class has an optimized interface for the MBUX in-vehicle system and supports Sony streaming video content. Mercedes-Benz also plans to offer an upgrade to Manufaktur's personalisation service in the future.
In terms of power configuration, the 2025 Mercedes-Benz S-Class has not been adjusted, and the domestic market will continue to offer a 2.5T inline-six engine (divided into high and low power versions) equipped with a 48-volt mild hybrid system, and a 3.0T inline-six engine equipped with a 48-volt mild hybrid system.
The 3.0T engine has a maximum power of 448 hp and a peak torque of 560 Nm, and all models are mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission.
