On the evening of May 6th, the first performance of the "Weekend I Come to Sing" Music Festival and Youth Culture Night Market was successfully held in Ningxiang Cultural and Sports Center, sponsored by the Propaganda Department of the Ningxiang Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Ningxiang Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism and Sports, and undertaken by the Ningxiang Cultural Center.
Founded in 2004, the brand of "Weekend I Take the Stage" mass cultural activities has been established for 20 years this year, and has been awarded the "National Excellent Rural Youth Cultural Activity Project" by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League. In order to further prosper the mass culture and better promote the high-quality development of the public cultural service system, during the 2024 Cultural Center Publicity and Service Week, the Propaganda Department of the Ningxiang Municipal Party Committee and the Ningxiang Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, and Sports will launch a series of activities for the 20th anniversary of "I take the stage on the weekend" on May 20, covering ten major cultural projects such as "I come to compare on the weekend", "I come to read on the weekend", "I come to study on the weekend" and "I come to perform on the weekend".
As one of the top ten activities, the "Weekend I Sing" music festival is expected to launch 30 performances in the near future, aiming to launch a music platform with high mass participation, create an atmosphere of youth music night market, perform and exchange music works, and combine provincial and municipal intangible cultural heritage projects with cultural and creative exhibitions on the spot, so as to give the music festival the imprint of Ningxiang and enhance the image and attractiveness of the city.
That night, 10 young singers and bands in Ningxiang sent a 2-hour square music salon to the audience, intertwined with popular and national style, Ningxiang original songs, Douyin hot songs, classic memories of killing, electronic rock and roll were staged in turn, the event site was very popular, the traditional cheongsam buckle handmade skills, Ningxiang four dishes, Weishan traditional incense production skills, Ningxiang plant dyeing bean flower cloth production skills, Weiyuanzhai original handmade sausage production skills, sugar painting production skills, Gaojia sweet wine brewing skills and other seven intangible cultural heritage projects were invited to participate in the music festival night market exhibition, the ingenious cultural and creative products made the audience love it.
Following the first performance of the "Weekend I Come to Sing" music festival, the "Weekend I Come to Show" art festival, the "Weekend I come to compete" dance competition, the "Weekend I come to learn" cloud theater public welfare class, the "Weekend I come to enjoy" online story bar, and the "Weekend I come to perform" drama festival will be launched in May.
