This adjustment follows nine rounds of oil price adjustments that have been carried out so far in 2024, forming a pattern of "five up, two down and two stranded", the most recent of which was on April 29.

At present, oil prices in May continued to fall, and this round of statistics has shown a downward trend for the fourth consecutive day, with a cumulative decline of 190 yuan/ton.

If this downward trend can continue, we are expected to see the biggest drop in 2024 so far next week, at 24 o'clock on May 15.

According to calculations, this round of oil price statistics has fallen for four consecutive days, with a cumulative decline of 190 yuan/ton.

There are still six working days before the next round of oil price adjustment, and if the decline is further expanded, the decline in oil prices is expected to exceed 200 yuan/ton, which will be the largest drop in oil price adjustment this year.

Looking back at the history of oil price adjustment this year, there have been five increases, of which the largest increase was 200 yuan/ton. If the oil price is lowered by more than 200 yuan/ton, it will mark a significant drop in oil prices.

In addition, the two oil price declines that have occurred this year have dropped by 120 yuan/ton. If the current round of oil price drop exceeds 200 yuan/ton, it will be the highest record of oil price decline this year.
