The NBA playoffs are currently in full swing, with the Cavaliers defeating the Magic in a tiebreaker, and the first round of the playoffs is over. Unlike previous years, the NBA traffic teams such as the Warriors, Suns, Lakers, and Clippers have been eliminated after the first round of the playoffs. This means that they can also prepare ahead for the next season. And as the two championship favorites, the Suns and Warriors will certainly be the most watched teams in the trade market.
Recently, the American media "Fadeaway World" suggested that the Suns, Warriors, Rockets, and Pistons complete a four-way deal this summer. The details of the deal are:
1. The Suns sent Kevin Durant + Bradley Beal to get Chris Paul + Isaiah Stewart + Evan Fournier + Jeff Green + Jock Landale + Troy Brown Jr. + 3 future first-round picks;
2. The Warriors sent Chris Paul + Andrew Wiggins + 2027 Warriors first-round pick + 2029 Warriors first-round pick to get Kevin Durant;
3. The Rockets sent Jeff Green + Jock Landale + 2024 Nets first-round pick + 2024 Warriors second-round pick to get Andrew Wiggins;
4. The Pistons sent Isaiah Stewart + Evan Fournier + Troy Brown Jr. to get Bradley Beal + 1 future second-round pick.
And once this four-way deal is reached, it also means that Durant, Paul, Wiggins, and Beal will change their doors this summer. Although Beal currently has a trade veto, which means that as long as he doesn't want to leave the Suns, the four-way deal can't be done. But after Durant's departure, the overall strength of the Suns will decline significantly, and Beal will not be able to challenge the championship if he continues to stay with the Suns. Therefore, it is very likely that he will refuse to exercise his trade veto power to the Pistons, who have 60 million salary caps, and take the rest of his big contract. And the Warriors will undoubtedly be the biggest winners of this four-way deal. They sent Wiggins, Paul, and three first-round picks to bring Durant back to Golden State and join the Splash Brothers to challenge for the championship again. As an auxiliary party to this four-way deal, the Rockets also took the opportunity to get the top forward Wiggins with extremely low trade chips.
After going round and round, Paul returned to the Suns and joined forces with the young Devin Booker, only this time the two were missing the top center Ayton. In fact, if the Suns hadn't traded Paul and Ayton for an injury-ridden Beal, would they have come closer to a championship?
