From leading the teammates of the 908 Xuancheng Love Team to send the test every year, to subsidizing students in need for 9 consecutive years, to establishing the 303 Xuancheng Comprehensive Convenience Service Platform, Ding Yunhai has been keen on public welfare since 2007. What is even more touching is that he once jumped into the icy water on the night of the Chinese New Year's Eve to save people, and also went into the fire twice to fight the fire, resulting in blindness in his left eye.
At 5:30 a.m. on December 21, 2023, near Shenglian Jincheng Community, Xuanzhou District, Xuancheng City, there was an anxious shout. Ding Yunhai, who was sleeping, immediately sat up, grabbed a coat and put it on, but he didn't have time to button it up, and he ran out without mentioning his shoes.
Ding Yunhai said that at that time, the car was emitting smoke, and there were many cars parked next to it and in the community, if the explosion would affect the safety of the residents of the entire community, so he didn't care about his injuries, got the spare key with years of driving experience, opened the door, and the fire came out with a bang, and threw boxes of charcoal down without any protection, throwing more than a dozen boxes.

That day, it was minus 7 degrees outside Xuancheng, and the snowstorm was overwhelming, and the small ditch next to the community had already frozen, Ding Yunhai couldn't remember how many times he ran back and forth, digging ice, taking water, and extinguishing fires, until the fire truck arrived when the open fire was basically extinguished by him. After the owner of the car Master Li arrived, everyone learned that the fire was charcoal, worth tens of thousands of yuan, what is frightening is that the truck has just filled a full tank of oil before, if it is not for Ding Yunhai to put out the fire in time, the consequences will be unimaginable.

However, this time, Ding Yunhai's eyes were hit hard again, and on January 25 this year, Ding Yunhai came to Shanghai to treat his injured eye. The doctor told him that there was no hope of regaining sight in his left eye. Ding Yunhai's first injury to his left eye also happened when he was doing public welfare.
In June 2021, when I went into the community to teach the elderly how to use smartphones, I accidentally got a stab in my left eye while carrying supplies, which was more serious. I had several surgeries halfway through, and the doctor said that I needed to recuperate.
But Ding Yunhai didn't care about resting, and still devoted himself to public welfare. One evening in April 2023, Ding Yunhai saw thick smoke billowing around the high-voltage wire box in the nearby community at the door of the love team. He dialed 119 as he rushed towards the fire.

Ding Yunhai said that at that time, it was next to the high-voltage line, and he couldn't take care of it so much, so he spent a lot of effort and thought of many ways to put out the fire at the first time.
Unfortunately, Ding Yunhai was injured a second time due to excessive force when fighting the fire, which eventually caused the retina of his left eye to detach and tear. In October 2023, Ding Yunhai underwent his fifth surgery on his left eye in Shanghai, and the doctor told him to rest for half a year after the operation. However, just over two months later, Ding Yunhai put out the fire again, which eventually led to blindness in his left eye. Asked him if he had any regrets, he said firmly: No regrets, next time if there is any more danger, I will save it!
Over the years, while Ding Yunhai has led his teammates in the love team to do public welfare, he has often disregarded his own safety, acted bravely, and even assisted the police in arresting criminal suspects. When it comes to Captain Ding, teammates all give a thumbs up, and teammate Zhao Bingling said, "Our Team Ding is a hard-working person in my mind, and he does everything himself and is positive.
Over the past 24 years, Ding Yunhai has devoted more than 60,000 hours of volunteer service to the past, and has been awarded the honors of China Volunteer Advanced Individual and Anhui Volunteer Advanced Individual.
