Babusha is an aeolian sand mouth on the southern edge of the Tengger Desert and in the north of Gulang County. There used to be no grass here, and the wind and sand were raging. In order to protect their homeland, in the early 80s of the last century, six local elderly people pressed their handprints on the contract and vowed to exchange their gray hair for an oasis.
In the past, the wind and sand mouth have become an oasis today. Over the past 40 years, the Babusha sand control people represented by the "six old men" have taken root in the desert, controlled sand and afforestation, and successively completed 310,700 mu of sand control and afforestation in Babusha, Heigangsha and the northern sand area of Gulang County, managed and protected 450,000 mu of sand and cultivated forests and grasses, completed nearly 200 kilometers of channel greening, more than 5,000 acres of farmland forest network, planted more than 60 million seedlings of various types of sand, more than 10 million seedlings of flowers and landscapes, and built the "Great Green Wall" in the vast Tengger Desert with hard sweat It also brings a better living environment to the immigrants in Gulang County.

Harvest morels
In the solar greenhouse of the 10,000-mu Gobi Agricultural Demonstration Base in Wudaogou, Huanghuatan, Gulang County, grower Zhang Wenliang's morel mushrooms are ripe for harvesting. "The moving sand dunes have been fixed, the wind-blown sand has been reduced, our villages and greenhouse industrial bases have been protected, and the living conditions of our farmers are getting better and better. The 20 sheds of morels I have planted now have begun to pick, ranging from 500 yuan to 800 yuan per pound of dry goods, and the yield and price are relatively good. Zhang Wenliang said.
"Our village now grows 507 fruit and vegetable greenhouses such as morels and leeks. Through the development of the greenhouse industry, the villagers' income has been increasing, and they have embarked on a way to get rich and increase their income. The forest farm helps the masses to increase their income and become rich by paying the transfer fees of land use rights to the peasants and paying the labor fees for nearby workers.
