How can this tree, which holds up half the autumn leaves, bloom such a dreamy flower?

Cog. cog. cog., also known as cog. japoiformus, etc., is a small deciduous tree or shrub in the family Lacaceae.
In fact, there is one original variant and three varieties of plants in the genus Coxathus.
The original variant is Occodia, which is not available on the mainland. Its three varieties are C. rubrum, C. tomentosa and P. particle-backed Coxathus, all of which are distributed on the mainland. The most common is "red leaf cocoon".
Red leaf cocoon, also called gray hair cocoon, is the red leaves of Xiangshan, so it is also called red leaves. In daily life, we are used to calling it coxagulus.
The leaves turn red in autumn, but the most attractive thing about it, besides the red leaves, is its flowers.
In late spring and early summer, the pink and fluffy inflorescences hang from the branches, like a cloud of red smoke, so it is also called the smoke tree.
Got closer and looked at its flowers. You'll notice that the pink, feathery "flowers" are interspersed with small green fruits.
It makes people wonder if these pink flowers can bear this fruit, or are these pink flowers just "protectors" of those small green fruits?
Actually, neither. They are all what coxagulus flowers look like.
Those small pink fluffy strips are the sterile (non-fruiting) flowers of Coxagulus, and the petals fall off, leaving only the green flower stalks, and the flower stalks are covered with pink "feathers".
And those small fruits are the fruits that grow after its flowers wither.
Strictly speaking, neither of these is its flower. I searched for a long time, but I didn't find the flowers in the full sense of the word. Usually when we see a pink fog on it, it's already fruiting period.
According to the flora, the petals of Coxagus are ovate or ovate-lanceolate, and the calyx lobes are ovate-triangular.

The inflorescence of Coggulus coggulus is a large panicle. You can make flower arrangement, elegant and dreamy.
It has a good reputation in the flower arrangement world as "Lover in the Mist". The name is vivid, which shows how much people who use it for flower arrangement.
Later, it can also be made into dried flowers, which is also very elegant.
The place where it can be seen, apart from the flowers, is the leaves.
Coggylum has obovate or ovate leaves, 3-8 cm long and 2.5-6 cm wide. On both sides of the leaves, there are some gray pubescence, which is also called gray hairy cocoon.
However, this name does not feel grounded, red leaves, coxagulus or yellow slippery, yellow dragon, etc., these names make people like more.
In autumn, the temperature drops, and the leaves turn yellow first and then red. The autumn leaves all over the mountains are really beautiful.
There is a valley of red leaves in the mountainous area of southern Jinan, and there are many cogsus trees in it, I have not been there, but I can see them elsewhere.
There are many parks, and there are also street trees on the roadside. Kuangshan Park, at the foot of the mountain and halfway up the mountain, there are coxagulus. When the flowers bloom, a cloud of pink smoke can be seen from afar.

Don't you wonder, it's obviously a red leaf, why is it called a cocoon?
It turns out that the yellow of Coxagulus mainly refers to its wood. Its wood is yellow, and people used it to make yellow dye in ancient times.
To this day, it is still one of the materials for dyeing plants and trees, and the trunk, bark, and branches can be dyed yellow.
Coggy, Shengshang Luo Valley, the river boundary is very much, the leaves are round wood yellow, can be dyed yellow.

In addition to dyeing, its roots, branches, wood, and leaves can be used as medicine to clear away heat and detoxify, disperse stasis and relieve pain.
Nowadays, however, it is mainly an ornamental tree and an important species of red-leaved tree.
It is a beautiful tree, and the inflorescences can hang on the branches for a long time. After the autumn cools, the leaves turn red, and the viewing period is quite long.
