However, the anti-Japanese forces in the northeast never stopped fighting. Among them, the most famous armed force is the Northeast Anti-Japanese Allied Army, which was prepared and commanded by our party!
They lived in the snowy plains of the forest and the sea, fought against the Japanese Kwantung Army and the puppet army in the white mountains and black waters, using the sky as the paved and the earth as the bed, and still fought alone for 14 years when they lost contact with the higher-level party organizations.

In the spring of 1932, according to the instructions of the Central Committee, the Manchuria Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China sent Yang Junwu, a member of the Communist Party, and his party to Panshi County to develop revolutionary forces, establish revolutionary armed forces, fight back against the atrocities of the Japanese army, and rescue the mutilated people.
In Panshi County, the first armed force of our Party in the northeast region was established - the Panshi Workers' and Peasants' Volunteer Army. Later, this unit was incorporated into the First Army of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Allied Army, and the commander-in-chief was General Yang Jingyu.
In the East Manchurian region, our party incorporated the anti-Japanese guerrillas in various localities and developed them into the Second Army of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Allied Army. In North Manchuria and other areas, under the command of General Zhao Shangzhi, all anti-Japanese armed forces were united, a number of anti-Japanese guerrilla units were established, and the Third Army of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Allied Army was developed.
Until the beginning of 1937, the Northeast Anti-Japanese Allied Army had 11 armies under its jurisdiction, with a total strength of nearly 30,000 troops, reaching 40,000 troops at its peak.
During the period of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Alliance, under the command of our party, the Northeast Anti-Japanese Alliance Army launched more than 100,000 large and small battles against the Japanese puppet army, annihilated more than 180,000 enemy troops in total, and contained hundreds of thousands of Japanese troops in the northeast.
However, the anti-Japanese course of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Allied Army was extremely tragic.
Some people say that the Northeast Anti-Japanese Federation is a rare army in the history of mankind that continues to carry out guerrilla warfare on a large scale in the alpine region under the condition that there is no base at home and no reinforcements from outside.
For the Northeast Anti-Japanese Federation, fighting against the Japanese invaders is naturally the most important military task. However, in the bitterly cold weather, being able to survive without sufficient supplies of weapons, ammunition, medicine, and food is the first major problem that the anti-United Nations fighters need to face.

However, don't forget that the winter and heavy snow in the Northeast are really testing people's physical limits in the mountains, forests and wilderness.
Because of the heavy snowfall, the anti-union fighters could not eat food for ten days and half a month, could not find wild grasses and wild vegetables to fill their stomachs, and it was even more difficult for animals to find, and even if they did, it was difficult to catch up, and it was easy to expose their whereabouts.
In the ice and snow, the anti-United Nations fighters did not dare to make a fire to cook, because they would soon be discovered by the encircled Japanese army. Therefore, many times, the anti-union fighters fought the enemy on an empty stomach.
At that time, the Tohoku region was covered with heavy snow for most of the year, and the temperature was generally a few tens of degrees below zero. To tell the truth, the highest proportion of casualties among the soldiers of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Federation at that time was not death in battle, but starvation and freezing death.
Then, there is a very special situation in the Anti-Japanese Army, that is, because of the special geographical location of the Anti-Japanese Alliance, it has never been in contact with the Central Committee of Yan'an (completely lost contact with the Central Committee in 1937), and without the unified command and leadership of the superiors, the Northeast Anti-Japanese Allied Army can only fight alone.
At the same time, the workers' organizations in the cities of Northeast China were brutally suppressed and slaughtered by the Japanese army due to the premature exposure of revolutionary forces, resulting in the complete loss of support from the cities of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Federation.
Then, the anti-union forces also faced a serious problem in the later stage, that is, betrayal from within, and traitors caused the anti-union forces to suffer huge losses.
In particular, Cheng Bin, the former commander of the First Division of the First Army of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Allied Army, is General Yang Jingyu's confidant and favorite general, and he is also a rare cultural talent in the Anti-Japanese Alliance, and he has fought many beautiful battles with Yang Jingyu.
However, it was this person who was single-handedly cultivated by General Yang Jingyu who finally pushed the anti-coalition forces into the abyss, and single-handedly caused General Yang Jingyu's sacrifice.
In July 1938, Cheng Bin, who lost his revolutionary faith, took 115 people under his command to go down the mountain privately, and all of them defected to the enemy.
After Cheng Bin defected and surrendered to the Japanese army, he was eager to prove his worth with a letter of surrender, so he quickly led people to destroy the supply camp of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Federation-Secret Camp.
In the secret camp, there are materials urgently needed for survival of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Federation, including weapons and ammunition, food, cloth, medicines, etc., which are Yang Jingyu's hole cards in the struggle against the Japanese army in the white mountains and black waters.
However, with Cheng Bin's surrender, more than 70 secret camps in Mengjiang County were destroyed by Cheng Bin's troops for a while, and the soldiers of the Anti-Japanese Union where General Yang Jingyu was located suddenly fell into a desperate situation of running out of ammunition and food.
At the beginning of 1940, Yang Jingyu led his soldiers to fight against the Japanese army, and was constantly divided and surrounded by the enemy.
At this time, General Yang Jingyu had not eaten a grain of grain for several days, his whole body was covered with chilblains, and his feet were also frozen. After the villager Zhao Yanxi found out, he informed the Japanese army of his whereabouts, and finally General Yang Jingyu was surrounded by the Japanese army and died.
The brutal Japanese army dissected the body of General Yang Jingyu, and all they found in the stomach were undigested grass roots, cotton wool and tree bark, which were difficult to swallow, but they were the only "food" for General Yang Jingyu to fight against the Japanese army during his lifetime.
That year, General Yang Jingyu was only 35 years old!
In February 1942, General Zhao Shangzhi, commander of the Third Army of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Alliance, led his troops to be betrayed by traitors during the attack on the puppet Manchurian police station.
At the same time, in order to completely eliminate the Anti-Japanese Federation, the Japanese Kwantung Army implemented the law of joint sitting in the northeast region (as long as one household found that the Anti-Japanese Federation did not report in time, the entire ten households or even the entire village would be punished for sitting together), implemented the three-light policy, completely severed the ties between the Anti-Japanese Federation and the masses, and intensified economic encirclement and suppression and inducement to surrender.
Under such circumstances, the anti-United Nations fighters were greatly devastated physically and mentally, and they were fighting for survival in a desperate situation all the time!
Until the winter of 1940, under the repeated heavy encirclement and suppression of the Japanese Kwantung Army, the number of troops in the Northeast Anti-Japanese Union was sharply reduced from 40,000 to less than 1,000, and the necessary food, weapons and equipment of the Anti-Japanese Union were even more urgently in short supply.
On April 12, 1940, Zhou Baozhong sent two urgent telegrams to the Soviet Far East Army, hoping that the Soviet Union would provide material transportation assistance in view of the extremely deteriorating fighting environment of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Alliance.
In 1940, with the continuous military encirclement and suppression of the Japanese army, and the large-scale construction of no man's land, the "group tribes" were forcibly implemented, which led to the expansion of the scope of activities of the anti-United Nations forces again.
Under such a predicament, most of the anti-coalition forces had to withdraw into the Soviet Far East and be incorporated into the 88th Independent Infantry Brigade of the Soviet Far East Front (subsequently establishing the southern and northern camps, and vigorously developing airborne tactics), and a small number continued to lurk in various parts of the northeast to collect intelligence, carry out anti-Japanese propaganda and develop armed forces.
In August 1945, with the national counteroffensive, more than 700 people from the Anti-Japanese Federation Teaching Brigade parachuted into various parts of the Northeast to attack the Japanese Army's Tiger Head Heavy Artillery Fortress, which cleared the obstacles for the Soviet Red Army to attack the Japanese Kwantung Army, and then the Northeast Anti-Japanese Federation was reorganized into the Northeast People's Self-Defense Army, with Zhou Baozhong as the commander-in-chief.
Subsequently, under the intelligence of the Soviet Union, the central government finally resumed contact with the former Northeast Anti-Japanese Federation, and the Northeast Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was soon established, and the party organizations in various places were also restored, which also opened the prelude to the war of liberation!
