1. Liu Lianren was arrested
China has been humiliated in modern times, and many people have been seized by other countries to work as laborers. Liu Lianren was born as a farmer in rural Shandong Province. Because of his tall stature and his passion, he helped the villagers.
During the Anti-Japanese War, Liu Lianren was just working at home as an ordinary farmer. In 1944, a disaster befell him. A neighbor asked him to help with the funeral in his home.
As soon as he arrived at the door, a team of puppet soldiers arrested him. This happened in many parts of the village at the same time, and the people who were caught were asked to pay the ransom by their families, and since Liu Lianren's family did not have that much money, he was taken to the county seat.
When I arrived in the county seat, I found out that the puppet army was at the request of the Japanese devils. Those who were arrested with him were all trying to provide labor for Japan, and those who were arrested together decided to escape from prison, but the first attempt failed, and many people lost their lives. And he escaped.
2. Arrive in Japan
After their first defeat, Liu Lianren was placed under even more severe scrutiny. After a period of detention in the county, the arrested men got on the train. On the train, more than 80 people were held in the same carriage, not to mention lying down to rest, and it was difficult to even turn around.
The train to Qingdao was crowded with more than 1,000 Japanese laborers from Shandong. These people are all facing the same fate, and they will leave their homeland and arrive in Japan. After arriving in Qingdao, the peasants put on their worn military uniforms from the Japanese army and boarded a Japanese cargo ship. In order to obtain a reasonable name, the Japanese even used violence to force them to sign and pledge the deed of sale.
Once on board the ship, they were herded to the bottom of the hold, where they stayed with the ore mined from China. Just like the black people from Africa who were transported to the United States, the food they ate every day was nothing more than an egg-sized multigrain steamed bun that they couldn't even drink a sip of water. At the bottom of the cargo hold are machines that are powered by many ships, and the place is full of noise from morning to night.
Soon these laborers from China arrived in Hokkaido, Japan, where they began to live in the dark. The work of these laborers is all heavy physical work such as mining and road repair, and even their resting place is only a small cubicle. In this compartment they had no way to shower, not even lighting.
As Liu Lianren, who works in the mines, he sees Chinese who have lost their lives every day. Working underground in the mines, they were often scolded by the overseers and deprived of their safety facilities. Explosions and collapses often happen, and miners with minor injuries are not allowed to rest, and seriously injured miners are simply allowed to die.
Liu Lianren was asked by the Japanese to dispose of the corpses, and the corpses looked horrible in appearance, and at first glance they knew that they had been inhumanly abused. Liu Lianren himself works more than 16 hours a day, and he is often beaten to the point that his skin is broken. More than 200 employees are able to eat only one bag of koba a day, filling their stomachs with some kitchen waste that Japanese people don't want.
Every time the Japanese see them rummaging through the garbage cans, they call them Chinese pigs. Because of working around the clock and without good hygiene, they often contract some diseases. These Japanese people don't even provide food, let alone medicine. If you have a minor illness, you can only rely on your physical fitness to carry it, and if it is a major illness, you will be buried alive to prevent infection.
3. Return to the country
Liu Lianren is in such a hell, and he wants to escape in his dreams. The first time he and some of his co-workers escaped, they were chased by the Japanese on horseback, and even used firearms to compete in shooting games. Liu Lianrenfu had a great life, and he did not lose his life in the process of chasing this time, but he was still arrested. In the process of escaping, many of his co-workers died as a result.
Although his first attempt failed, he still struggled for freedom. One day, because the guards were relatively loose, he and four of his co-workers fled into the mountains, and even then his four co-workers were taken back and shot. He was the only one living alone in the mountains, not daring to meet anyone.
In 1958, Liu Lianren was discovered by the Japanese. In the time he was first discovered, he couldn't even utter a complete sentence. Later, in his words, the police found out that he was a laborer from China, and immediately charged him with espionage. When the Chinese government learned of this, it immediately pressured Japan to release it back to China. When he returned to China, he also received Liu Shaoqi at that time.
When he arrived in China, his eyes were filled with tears and nostalgia for his hometown. In the days that followed, he and his family wanted Japan to recognize such history. For this reason, he also studied hard to write an autobiography of himself, and returned to Japan, a place that seemed like a nightmare to him, many times, hoping that Japan would give him a reply.
