In our little village, when we mentioned my cousin, everyone had to give a thumbs up and say, "This girl is really a blessing!" She was ten years older than me, but it felt like living in two worlds. Her life is simply a legendary story of "lying down to win".
When my cousin was a child, she was really a little princess in the village. White and tender skin, big eyes, and a smile like a flower. The elders in the family, especially the grandparents, held her in the palm of their hands for fear of falling, and held her in their mouths for fear of melting. Her father worked in the Forestry Bureau, although he was a temporary worker, but in those days, it was already good to have an iron rice bowl. Her son and daughter-in-law were very filial to her, often buying her this and that, and giving her pocket money from time to time. Her grandson is also very cute, and often circles around her, calling her "grandma, grandma".
But just when we thought that our cousin would be so happy forever, fate gave her another test. Her mother-in-law died, and the family suddenly lost a right-hand man. Everyone was worried that my cousin would not fit in, after all, she had never bothered or worked. But guess what? The cousin is still so leisurely! Her son and daughter-in-law discussed and sent the grandson to his mother-in-law. In this way, my cousin has nothing to do, and spends all day shopping, watching TV, and chatting with neighbors.
Every time I go back to my hometown and see my cousin's leisurely appearance, I can't help but think: How can there be such a lucky person in this world? And what about us ordinary people, who are running around and toiling every day for life, worrying about this and that. It's really more popular than people!
But then again, although my cousin's life is enviable, if you think about it, the reason why she was able to spend her life so lucky is that in addition to the favor of fate, more importantly, she knows how to cherish and enjoy every moment of life. She never complains, never cares about gains and losses, but simply enjoys every gift that fate brings her. This mentality may be the real secret of her "lying down to win" life!
