Jiaxing Wangjiangjing Town, south of Xiangqiao, there is a place called "Wodun Bang", because there was a "Wodun Pier" here.

"Wadun" is a high mound piled up with the corpses of Wako. In the thirty-fourth year of Jiajing of the Ming Dynasty (1555), there was a "Wangjiangjing Victory" here, which annihilated 2,000 Japanese people. After the war, the corpses of the Japanese were piled up, and the soil was sealed into a hill to deter the enemy and boost morale, which was called "Jingguan" in ancient times, and the local people were directly called "Wadun".

During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, some Japanese samurai, ronin and merchants, often invaded the coast of China, robbed merchant ships, killed and plundered the residents, known as the "Japanese Invaders" in history, and the treacherous people along the coast, also colluded with the Japanese Invaders, killed people and crossed goods, and later, the Japanese invaders actually took the domestic outlaws as the main body, the Ming History of Japan said: "The giant thieves in the sea, then attacked the Japanese costumes, banners, and plundered the interior, all of which were very profitable······ About three out of ten of the real widows, seven out of ten from the widows. ”

The famous leaders of the Waguan include Wang Zhi, Xu Hai, Chen Dong, Ma Ye and others. Jiaxing is one of the places that suffer the most from the Japanese to the 35th year of Jiajing (1553-1556), the Japanese invaders trapped Jiashan three times, two occupied the forbidden virtue, one occupied Zhapu, seven into Kipshi, Jiuwei Tongxiang, two plundered Jiaxing, several disturbed Pinghu, Haiyan plundered and harassed more than 100 times, only in the 32nd year of Jiajing, Jiaxing "through thieves seven times, killing and plundering the people, ravaging the fields, ploughing the standard out of time, into summer and autumn. The lake is dry and very hungry." (Tomorrow's "Pinghu County Chronicles")

In the thirty-second year of Ming Jia (2553), more than 40 Japanese invaders from Pinghu Zhapu, in the realm of "Pinghu, Haiyan and Haining, the Ming army was helpless, and the casualties were as high as hundreds. After harassing them for 16 days, they finally "snatched the boat and left", which can be described as if they were in a no-man's land.

In May of the 33rd year of Jiajing of the Ming Dynasty (1554), Zhang Jing, the secretary of the Nanjing Military Department and the imperial history of the right capital, was ordered to be the governor of Jiangnan, Jiangbei, Zhejiang, Shandong, Fujian, and Huguang to fight against the Japanese.

Zhang Jing, from the Internet

Zhang Jing (1492-1555), the word Tingyi, the number of Banzhou, Fujian Houguanren, after he arrived in Qian, he felt that the Ming army was weak, and asked the imperial court to transfer Guangxi wolf soldiers and Huguang Tusi soldiers to help in the war····· The wolf soldiers of Donglan and that land can attack the crowd with less, and win nine out of ten."

Zhang Jing once served as the governor of Liangguang, known as the wolf soldiers, but also convincing the Tusi, he transferred the wolf soldiers from Rizhou Washi, Sien, Donglan, Nadi, Nandan, Guishun, Shuishun, Baojing and other places to Zhejiang to participate in the anti-Japanese war, according to Zhang Jing's deployment, by the Yu people, Yin Weifang and Tang Kekuan three generals, respectively, with Ming-level soldiers, each other as horns, to Pansu in the Sichuan Shawa of the Japanese to form a flanking situation, just waiting for the wolf soldiers to line up, but can encircle and annihilate the Japanese invaders.

Seeing that the war was imminent, there were twists and turns, in February of the 34th year of Jiajing of the Ming Dynasty (1555), Zhao Wenhua, the right attendant of the Ministry of Works, thought that the rampant association of the Japanese was caused by offending the god of the sea, and the Jiajing Emperor played a sacrifice to the god of the sea in Jiangyin and Changshu to get rid of the trouble, and the Jiajing Emperor actually agreed to this absurd suggestion. So Zhao Wenhua came to Zhehui as a minister of the Qin Mission, and pointed out against the Japanese war.

Zhang Jing is above Zhao Wenhua regardless of his official position or the ability to fight, and he is contemptuous of Zhao Wenhua's Education Committee, Zhao Wenhua urges him to send troops, Zhang Jing said that he must wait for Yongshun and Baoqing's troops to arrive before he can lose the attack in order to protect everything, and later, Zhang Jing did not even let Zhao Wenhua know about the work of the War Department, saying that he leaked military secrets.

Zhao Wenhua is Yan Song's godson, he has always been arrogant, thinking that Zhang Jing looked down on him, so he made a small report to the emperor, framing Zhang Jing for "paying the people, fearing that the thief will lose the opportunity, and he wants to be full of the widows, and he should be punished urgently to relieve the southeast cauldron". ("History of the Ming Dynasty: The Biography of Zhang Jing") that is, Zhang Jing wasted military spending, was afraid of the Japanese and did not dare to fight, and wanted to wait for the Japanese crown to go back and kill a few stragglers to repay the merits. This is a very serious crime.

In April of this year, more than 4,000 Japanese people set out from Bai Zhelin and invaded Jiaxing from Jinshanwei through Zhapu and Haiyan. Zhang Jing expected the enemy planes to take the lead and set a combat strategy of separate attacks and joint attacks. First, Lu Bo led the army out of the south of Jiaxing to meet the enemy, and attacked the Ming army from both sides with the Ming army that followed the Japanese invaders, killing hundreds of enemies. The Japanese invaders turned northward, and were severely damaged by Yu Dayou and the wolf soldiers in Pingwang. The Japanese had no choice but to flee to Gongjiangjing and enter the encirclement preset by Zhang Jing.

Yu Dayou was in the north, Lu Bo was in the south, Tang Kekuan led the naval army to attack the enemy in the middle, and the Ming army and wolf soldiers from all walks of life arrived together, surrounded and intercepted, and the Japanese were cornered, killed, burned, drowned, and ambushed all over the place, and Wang Jiangjing was not flowing. In this battle, more than 1,980 Japanese people were killed, and only less than 200 Japanese invaders fled back to Zhelin in embarrassment, known as "Wang Jiangjing's great victory" in history, "Ming Shizong Record" said: "Since there was a Japanese trouble, the southeast army has not been successful, and this is its first merit. "This battle greatly boosted the morale of the anti-Japanese people.

Unexpectedly, the battle had just been won on the front line, and the holy decree to arrest Zhang Jing had arrived. Under the criticism of Yan Song, Zhao Wenhua and others, Zhang Jing was imprisoned for the crimes of "raising a prisoner without fighting" and "risking merit to ask for rewards", and was killed in October of the 24th year of Jiajing (1555), which became a major unjust case. Zhang Jing was killed for his merits, and everyone in the world complained about it, and it was not until the early years of Longqing that Zhang Jing was rehabilitated.

After the victory of "Wangjiangjing", the Japanese were honest for a year, and in the thirty-fifth year of Jiajing (1556), the Japanese made a comeback, and at this time the overall situation of the anti-Japanese was presided over by Hu Zongxian, the governor of Zhejiang.

The first merit of using troops in the southeast | Wang Jiangjing's victory and Shen Zhuang's victory

Hu Zongxian (1512-1565), the word Ru drink, the name Meilin, a native of Jixi, Huizhou, Hu Zongxian was a famous minister of the Ming Dynasty, very capable, and was criticized for making friends with Yan Song's father and son, but he was indeed outstanding in the fight against the Japanese. Hu Zongxian dealt with the Japanese and adopted the anti-Japanese strategy of "attacking and plotting at the top, wrestling with the bottom" with appeasement as the mainstay, extermination as a supplement, and simultaneous suppression and appeasement. When dealing with Xu Hai, Chen Dong, and Ma Ye, he used the means of dividing and disagreeing with each other, and achieved the "great victory of Shenzhuang".

Hu Zongxian is scheming and good at scheming. He sent envoys to and from the leaders of the major Japanese bandits, and he made a wish to seal the officials, and provoked dissenting questions, so that the various groups of Japanese robbers were suspicious of each other, and there were many contradictions, he first wooed Xu Hai, met with him many times, pretended to show goodwill, and also sent a large amount of property, and promised that as long as Xu Hai surrendered, "atonement for his crimes", he would make him an official. Xu Haixin thought it was true, and first helped Hu Zongxian defeat a group of Japanese invaders who invaded Zhapu, and then captured Chen Dong and Ma Ye and kidnapped them to Hu Zongxian.

In order to completely exterminate the Japanese invaders, Hu Zongxian did not immediately kill Chen Dong and Ma Ye, but placed the remnants of their forces and Xu Hai in a place called Shenzhuang (now Qingxi Bridge, Lindai Town, Pinghu City) near Zhapu. Shenzhuang is divided into east and west, across the river, Xu Haibu is in East Shenzhuang, Chen Dong and Ma Ye are in West Shenzhuang, the three forces contain each other, fight constantly, and have casualties to each other.

Hu Zongxian quietly gathered his troops, and transferred 3,000 sharpshooters from Beijing, 6,000 with iron rods from Zhuozhou, 3,000 with Baoding archers, 3,000 from Liaodong Yiyongwei Hutou gunners, 3,000 Yijianers from Hejian Fu, 3,000 from Henan Horse Army, 3,000 from Henan Maohulu Soldiers, 3,000 Miners from Hanzhongfu, 30,000 soldiers from Yongbao Second Division, 10,000 soldiers from Rongmei and other divisions.

So, on August 20, Hu Zongxian launched a general attack on the Japanese in Shenzhuang. The Japanese dog jumped over the wall in a hurry, resisted stubbornly, and fought until the 25th, when the Ming army set fire to the wind, and the wind was fierce, turning Shenzhuang into a fire field. The Japanese invaders collapsed in an instant, and countless people were killed in the fire, and more than 1,600 people were killed. Xu Haitou drowned in the river, and Xin Goro, the brother of the Japanese Osumi Island owner, as well as Chen Dong, Ma Ye and others were captured alive. On September 8, Hu Zongxian beheaded Ma Ye, Chen Dong, Xu Hong, Xin Wubu and other Japanese leaders in the Jiaxing North Sect, and displayed them to the public together with Xu Hai's head.

The "Great Victory of Shenzhuang" was a turning point in the anti-Japanese struggle along the southeast coast. Since then, the line from Jinshan to Zhapu and Haiyan, there is no longer a big trouble, and Jiaxing has been peaceful since then.

There is also a small episode in "Shen Zhuang Huojie". Xu Hai had a favorite concubine named Wang Cuiqiao, who accepted a bribe from Hu Zongxian and persuaded Xu Hai to accept Zhao'an, which made great contributions to the eradication of the Japanese invaders. After the "Shenzhuang victory", Wang Cuiqiao committed suicide. Mao Kun, a famous literati at that time, wrote a novel "Ji Suppressed Xu Hai Benwei", with a biography of Wang Cuiqiao attached to the book.

Wang Cuiqiao is widely known and has become the subject of poetry and writing, the late Ming Dynasty writer Yu Huai has "The Biography of Wang Cuiqiao", and in the early Qing Dynasty, there was a literati called "Qingxin Cairen" wrote the chapter back novel "The Biography of Jin Yunqiao" (also known as "Shuangqi Dream"). In the middle of the Qing Dynasty, Vietnam's most famous poet Nguyen Nguyen Nguyen wrote a 3,254-line narrative poem "The Legend of Jin Yun Qiao", which was translated into Chinese, English, German, French, Russian, Japanese and other languages, becoming a world literary heritage. This can probably be said to be a "by-product" of the "Shenzhuang Great Victory".
