Saying goes:
"The blessed will have the appearance of heaven. ”
In life, in addition to looking at the face, whether a person is blessed or not depends on these three places:
Look at the talk;
Second, look at behavior;
Three look at the mentality.
Blessed people are often wise men who speak in moderation, act rightly, and have a generous heart.
Words are in moderation
According to historical records, Confucius once visited Lao Dan with Uncle Nangong Jing.
After the visit, when Confucius was about to return, Lao Dan said to him:
"The rich and noble give money to others, and the righteous give good words. ”
Lao Dan claimed that he was not a rich person, so he sent Confucius a word.
This probably means that those who are intelligent and perceptive are vulnerable to death because they tend to talk behind their backs.
Those who are eloquent are prone to endangering themselves, because most of them like to expose the shortcomings of others.
Therefore, as a courtier, you can't just focus on highlighting yourself.
Confucius listened to the persuasion and integrated Shenyan into his Confucian thought.
After returning to the country of Lu, more and more disciples defected to him.
In the Analects, he advocated:
"There is a way in the state, and dangerous words and deeds;
There is no way to do it, and it is dangerous to say goodbye. ”
No matter what the circumstances, it is necessary to maintain humility in words.
After Zhu Yuanzhang took the throne, his two young people looked for him and wanted to seek half of the official position.
One of them was small and spoke out of proportion, shaking out Zhu Yuanzhang's troubles when he was a child.
Hearing this, Zhu Yuanzhang was furious, and instead of giving him an official, he also beheaded him.
This little hair trembled a handful of cleverness, his life was gone, and the end was bleak.
The degree of words lies in the point to stop;
To be reasonable, lies in not being able to say everything.
Words are measured, there is room for speech, it is to show respect for others, and it is to accumulate blessings for oneself.
There must be righteousness
Fang Xiaoru once said:
"Whoever is good and fearful will be righteous, and his words will be regulated and his deeds will be stopped. ”
The so-called melon field is not acceptable, and Li Xia is not the crown.
Blessed people know awe, know how to take the initiative to avoid suspicion, and do not do things that make people misunderstood.
Gu Wenchang, the most beautiful struggler, has struggled for forestry all his life, but he behaves properly and never takes an inch from the public.
After he moved to Zhangzhou, his wife said that she wanted to arrange the furniture, so he went to buy bamboo stools, rattan chairs and stone tables.
The wife asked:
"Why don't you buy something wooden?"
He said:
"I'm in charge of forestry.
If you suddenly add new wooden furniture to your home, it is inevitable that it will be easily misunderstood by outsiders.
I can't put a sticker on it and say it's bought. ”
At that time, there was a shortage of materials, and many daily necessities had to be applied.
When my daughter got married, I wanted him to make it easier for him to get some wood so that he could buy furniture.
Gu Wenchang "ruthlessly" refused.
He said:
"If I make a table, the people below will follow suit, maybe dozens, hundreds.
If I make small mistakes, I make big mistakes below. ”
After the death of Gu Wenchang, who must be right, he is still respected by the people.
Some people in the village even said that they would guard his grave for the rest of their lives.
As the old saying goes, a gentleman has four no's.
Two of them are not reckless, reckless and non-reckless.
If a gentleman takes action, there must be a reason for etiquette and a righteous path.
If you speak the right word and do the right thing, then you will receive the right path, which is also a precious blessing.
The heart is an inch wider
According to legend, Lin Zexu was frivolous when he was young.
He can't get used to it, he can't get used to it, it's a notoriously violent temper.
His father thought that if this went on like this, it would not be possible to achieve great things.
So he reminded him to guard against arrogance and rashness, and to be eclectic.
Later, Lin Zexu was in the guest hall, and hung a couplet all the year round to warn himself:
"The sea is tolerant of all rivers, and tolerance is great;
The wall is thousands of feet, and there is no desire to be rigid. ”
The heart is one inch wider, and there is no hurdle that cannot be passed;
Narrow-minded, everywhere is unsatisfactory.
Su Shi and Zen Master Buddha Yin have always been good friends. One day, Su Shi felt that he had enlightened himself and wrote a Buddhist poem:
"In the middle of the sky, there is no light.
The eight winds can't blow, and the purple golden lotus sits upright. ”
When Su Shi was worshipping the Buddha, he felt that his whole person was radiating light.
Sitting upright on the lotus flower, even if the eight winds of "praise, ridicule, dissatisfaction, happiness, profit, inauspiciousness, slander, and praise" blow, he is unmoved.
After writing, he asked the servant to give him the Buddha seal, hoping that he would confirm whether he had truly attained enlightenment.
Who knows, the Buddha Yin replied with four words:
"Fart! Fart!"

I was immersed in enlightenment, you actually said this is fart?
Su Shi was angry, and in a fit of anger, he immediately crossed the river to find the Buddha seal theory.
Seeing Su Shi coming, the Zen master smiled faintly and asked him:
"Since the eight winds can't blow, why do you jump across the river with a fart?"
Su Shi was stunned, if he was broad-hearted, how could he get angry because of someone else's denial?
He felt ashamed, so he silently went home.
Being a relaxed person brings blessings. The more you deliberately control, the more you can't ask for it.
On the top of the high mountain, you can see the river rushing;
On the top of the peaks, I feel the long wind.
Blessed people must be generous and calm. And tolerance and kindness have made his blessings accumulate more deeply.
Only when the mentality is generous and the pattern is magnified can we see all living beings.
If you see the suffering of sentient beings, you will not add to your own troubles.

"Speak thinly, do thin things, have a thin heart, all kinds of things are thin, and disasters will inevitably arise. ”
If a person's words, deeds, manners, and mentality are all weak, it is inevitable that it will easily attract disasters and harm oneself.
If you want to be a blessed wise man, remember to pay attention to these three points:
Words are measured, and words leave a point.
Speak humbly to others or to yourself, and don't cross the line.
There is a right line, and there is a ruler in the line.
Knowing the destiny of heaven, knowing awe, and behaving without exceeding the rules are the basic bottom line that a gentleman should have.
The heart is one inch wider, and the overall situation is in mind.
Treating others with a generous and loving heart can be both a giver and a recipient of blessings.
If a person speaks in moderation, acts rightly, and has a generous heart, even if he may not be able to achieve worldly success and fame, blessings will come to take refuge in himself.
