In the turbulent times of the Three Kingdoms, the princes were divided and wars raged, and it is said that the average life expectancy at that time was not even enough to stand up. However, Sima Yi, a wise man with foresight, was able to live to be seventy-two years old, and finally survived Cao Cao, Liu Bei, Zhuge Liang and other heroes one by one. Today, let's take a look at the five longest-lived outstanding figures of the Three Kingdoms period, among which Sima Yi is not yet among them, and one of them has a lifespan of more than 130 years.
[Fifth place: Liao Hua (about 83 years old)]
This hero from Xiangyang, Hubei Province, rose to prominence as early as the wave of the Yellow Turban Rebellion in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, and he led hundreds of followers to occupy the mountains as kings and collect protection money for a living. Later, Liao Hua accidentally kidnapped Liu Bei's wife, but his admiration for Guan Yu made him resolutely send his wife back, and longed to follow Guan Yu, but unfortunately he couldn't.
Many years later, Liao Hua finally became Guan Yu's right-hand man, and was subsequently appointed as the Taishou of Yidu County, and accompanied Zhuge Liang on many northern expeditions. After the fall of Shu Han, Liao Hua moved with Liu Chan to Luoyang, however, due to his advanced age and dissatisfaction with Liu Chan's surrender, he died of illness on the way. Although Liao Hua's exact date of birth is unknown, it is presumed that he lived to be at least about eighty-three years old.
[Fourth place: Sima Fu (92 years old)]
Sima Fu, the younger brother of Sima Yi, was born in 180 AD and held official positions in the Cao Wei regime for a long time. He was low-key, did not have much ambition, and was loyal to Cao Wei. Sima Fu assisted the five emperors of Cao Wei throughout his life, and the official was the prince. After the Gaopingling Rebellion, the Sima family usurped the power of Cao Wei, but Sima Fu did not participate in the deposition of Emperor Wei.
After the establishment of the Western Jin Dynasty, Sima Fu was named the King of Anping, and what is admirable is that he always called himself Wei Chen, and even Emperor Wu of the Jin Dynasty did not dare to do anything to him. In 272 AD, Sima Fu died at the age of ninety-two.
[3rd place: Lai Min (96 years old)]
Perhaps the name Lai Min is not familiar to most people, he was born in a family of eunuchs, and his father Lai Yan once held the position of Sikong. When the world was in turmoil, Lai Min moved his family to Jingzhou, and then moved to Shu, where he was appreciated by Liu Zhang. After the establishment of Shu Han, Lai Min was appointed as the crown prince's family commander, and was later promoted to Guanglu doctor. However, Lai Min has a flamboyant personality, unscrupulous words, and even dares to divulge court secrets, so he has been demoted by Zhuge Liang many times. Despite this, he lived to be ninety-six years old.
[Second place: Zhang Zhen (105 years old)]
Zhang Zhen was born in 136 AD, twenty-five years older than Liu Bei. He was a prodigy, proficient in music and rhythm, and good at divination and fortune-telling. Both Yuan Shao and Cao Cao invited him to become an official, but both were rejected by Zhang Zhen. It is said that as early as 236 AD, Zhang Zhen foresaw that the Cao Wei regime would be usurped by the Sima clan. He was indifferent to fame and fortune and chose to live in seclusion until his death at the age of one hundred and five.
[First place: Zuo Ci (133 years old)]
Among the long-lived figures of the Three Kingdoms period, Zuo Ci is undoubtedly the most remarkable. He has been obsessed with Taoism since childhood, and with his extraordinary talent, he has mastered extraordinary skills and is proficient in the way of health preservation. Zuo Ci teased Cao Cao many times, making Cao Cao want to get rid of him quickly, but he failed repeatedly. Later, because his friend Yu Ji was killed by Sun Ce, Zuo Ci came to question Sun Ce, but Sun Ce wanted to kill him but couldn't. There is no exact record of when Zuo Ci died, but most people believe that he lived to be 133 years old, and some people even say that he became an immortal.
