A technologist who wears many hats
In 2006, Ma Weijun entered the civil aviation industry, focusing on non-destructive testing and engine hole exploration. "The popular explanation is the physical examination and surgeon of the aircraft. Talking about his work, Ma Weijun looks proud.
As the "physical examination and surgeon of the aircraft", Ma Weijun's responsibility is to carry out special testing of aircraft parts and components and hole inspection of aircraft engines through ultrasonic, eddy current, penetration, magnetic particle and other detection methods, so as to find possible problems of the aircraft in advance and solve them in time, so as to ensure the flight safety of the aircraft.
"Metalworking, borehole exploration and non-destructive testing are the main tasks of daily work. He said that metalworking is like an "orthopedic surgeon", and when some important structures on the aircraft are corroded or damaged during use, the metalworking will repair the old as new and restore it to the design requirements. A forensic probe is like a "gastroscopist", who obtains relevant information by inserting an instrument into the probe hole. After 18 years of hard work, Ma Weijun has obtained more than 20 qualification certificates such as civil aviation maintenance personnel license, engine borehole exploration certificate, non-destructive testing certificate, engine line maintenance and borehole exploration, and has become an industry technical expert with many hats.
Professionals like him who have both non-destructive testing technology and hole detection technology are rare in China.
The spirit of craftsmanship in pursuit of perfection
"Because of the particularity of the industry and the rigor of the post, I pay more attention to every detail. Ma Weijun said that once the potential safety hazards and risk points that may exist in the work are discovered, he will find a way to solve them as soon as possible and nip all risks in the bud. For Ma Weijun's work, Spring Airlines fully supports it. Ma Weijun said: "The company sometimes even adjusts the aircraft to ensure basic flight operations at any cost, leaving me enough time to overhaul. Don't let go of any hidden dangers. ”
In the process of overhauling an engine, Ma Weijun found that the beaver tail fairing of the aircraft engine was accidentally damaged, although the damage was very small, but he did not have the slightest carelessness, insisted on detecting whether the internal structure of the parts was layered, and ultrasonic testing was required. After testing, the result is that there is no echo, and there is no corresponding conclusion or solution for this result according to the manual. With years of experience, Ma Weijun and his colleagues continued to try to use ultrasonic transmission methods for detection, and after repeated attempts, they finally received the projected wave and confirmed that the internal structure was not damaged. Ma Weijun sent the whole incident to the manufacturer through the engineering department in the form of a report, and the detailed demonstration plan was highly recognized by the manufacturer, and the problem was finally solved perfectly.
Fully manual "copying" of the engine model
At present, in addition to the work of non-destructive testing, Ma Weijun, as the leader of the craftsman studio, is also responsible for tackling key problems, implementing innovative projects and training and teaching, and has four major responsibilities.
In the craftsman's studio, he led his colleagues to use various metalworking techniques and 3D printing to create a fully handmade aircraft engine model - gluing and combining pieces of aluminum plates, as small as a screw, as large as the propeller and shell of the engine, all of which were measured by everyone, bent and riveted in equal proportions. "This allows everyone to have an intuitive feeling of the overall parts of the engine, and can improve everyone's level of understanding and technical level. ”
In the daily management of the structural workshop, Ma Weijun has made a lot of efforts. He found that due to the fatigue of night shift work, it is easy to make mistakes, so he adopted the management method of post work card to provide clear and clear risk points, lessons learned and precautions in stages, so that everyone can check and check the work process.
