In this period, on the basis of the original plan of 10 free basic sterilization places, another 10 places will be added, for a total of 20 places.

From October 2023 to December 2024, on the 1st of each month, 1 stray cat TNR public service station will release 10 free basic sterilization packages (regardless of male and female) in the pet circle of the "Minhang Today" APP, and rescuers can make an appointment to apply for the free basic sterilization package in the pet circle of the "Minhang Today" APP, with a limit of 1 per account. The rescuer and the stray cat TNR public service station make an appointment for surgery, and the application is made at the store for verification, and the free basic sterilization package is valid for 3 months from the date of purchase.
The free basic sterilization package includes: surgery, anaesthesia, absorbable sutures, antibiotics, ear clipping, etc., and the rescuer should be aware of the risks of surgery and sign an agreement for surgery and anesthesia. In order to facilitate the reasonable scheduling of the surgery, it is important to make an appointment in advance. Free sterilization only includes the basic sterilization package, such as additional items: labor induction, cryptorchidism, hospitalization, etc., additional fees are required, and the specific cost standard is subject to the in-store price.
The free basic neutering package is only for stray cats, domestic cats or cats that have been adopted. Stray cats after neutering must have their ears cut so that everyone can see at a glance that the cat has been neutered, and prevent cats that have been neutered from being taken away by unsuspecting well-wishers for a second operation.
TNR: Trap, Neuter, Release is the current international mainstream stray cat management method, and it is also the only certified and most scientific and effective method to control the number of stray cats in the area. Stray cats that have TNR implemented will no longer breed kittens and will no longer be disturbed by howling in heat. At the same time, the in-situ release can prevent new unsterilized stray cats from entering the area, and ultimately control the number of stray cats in the area within a certain range.
