The Tokyo Metropolitan Government recently announced that the SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024 Global Startup Program, Asia's largest global innovation conference, will be held in Tokyo on May 15-16, 2024. Building on the success of last year, this year's event will return in an even richer format, with attendance expected to nearly double, with more than 40,000 visitors over two days and more than 400 local and international exhibitors from 40 cities.

The "SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024 Global Startup Plan" aims to promote the creation of "sustainable new value" through an in-depth exchange of ideas and discussions on solutions to various global problems. Topics include demographic change, environmental and energy issues, ageing infrastructure renewal, and the preservation of traditional culture through advanced technology, diverse ideas, and digital knowledge.

Start-ups, investors, large corporations, market representatives, and even outstanding students from all over the world will gather to participate in presentations, roadshow competitions, and showcase solutions. In addition, the conference will include a heavyweight lecture on "Envisioning the Future of Cities and Innovation". Guests included Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike, Harvard Business Review Editor-in-Chief Adi Ignatius, and representatives from Bloomberg, The Edgeof/Mistletoe, and Suntory Holdings Ltd. Other key speakers included Jen Carter, Google's Global Head of Technology, and John Roos, Founding Partner of Geodesic Capital and former U.S. Ambassador to Japan.

SusHi Tech Tokyo means "Sustainable High City Tokyo". The name not only represents Tokyo's place in the global tech community, but also reflects the conference's vision to solve urban challenges, provide disruptive innovations, and power the future of Japan and the world.

【About the Global Entrepreneurship Program】

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government's Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program has been active since November 2022.
