Chinese Herald News In Tokyo in late spring and early summer, cuckoos are spitting, and the wind is harmonious. The annual "Ambassador's Cup" Chinese recitation meeting was held on April 29 at Kanda Women's Gakuen.
Mr. and Mrs. Wu Jianghao, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Japan, Mr. Ding Yue, Principal of Sunshine School, Consul General Chen Wei, Minister Counselor, and guests from all walks of life attended the Ambassador's Cup recital.
At 9:30 a.m., the auditorium of the school park was full, and the flowers on the stage were fragrant, and the music was melodious. A burst of stirring drums, three dances or graceful or agile dance, Kanda female students' opening performance was wonderful, and the 10th "Ambassador Cup" Chinese recitation conference kicked off on time.

Yan An, President of the Japanese Chinese Education Association, first delivered a congratulatory speech, and the poetic language expressed the constant praise, encouragement and hope: the 10 years of glory of the Ambassador's Cup are jointly created by teachers, students, parents and all walks of life, which is not only a glorious review, but also a new beginning. He especially hopes that overseas Chinese children cherish learning Chinese as much as they cherish sunshine and air!

Before the start of the competition, with the host's affectionate narration, the audience first got acquainted with the extraordinary history of the "Ambassador Cup": born in February 2014 on a snowy day, all the way forward, and now it has become a classic brand of Chinese education in Japan, a grand festival for Chinese teenagers in Japan to express their love for the motherland and their mother tongue.
According to the usual practice, the conference was divided into three groups: children, toddlers, and self-created, and three competitions were held in the morning and afternoon.

Ten well-known scholars from the capital area, including Professor Liu Di of Xinglin University, Professor Chen Shumei of Tokyo Institute of Technology, Professor Liao Chiyang of Musashino Art University, President Ling Qingcheng of Tokyo Drama Art Association, Ms. Sun Jinghan, former CCTV news anchor, and President Zhang Yansong of Yokohama Yamate Chinese School, President Yang Wenkai of Chinese Herald, Professor Wu Chuan of the Faculty of International Relations of Nihon University, Ms. Miao Qing, former director of CCTV, Ms. Shang Lijuan, former famous actor of Beijing People's Art Theater and winner of the first drama "Plum Blossom Award", etc. Experts, who serve as judges in the morning and afternoon, and make on-site comments after each group of competitions. The pertinent and warm words and accurate and professional opinions greatly benefited and encouraged the players and the audience, and they always responded with warm applause.

In the past 10 years since the establishment of the "Ambassador Cup", from the initial dozens of students to the beginning of the toddler start, to now from more than 6,000 students selected one-thirtieth of the finalists to blossom, all the way to the harvest, the level and influence of the event has become more and more extensive, attracting more and more Chinese families in Japan, Chinese education institutions and celebrities in the literary and artistic circles of attention, attention and participation. In addition to the Tokyo metropolitan area, the event also attracted athletes from Osaka and Fukuoka.

Many children are dressed in Hanfu and Tang costumes, with exquisite fans, folding fans, hair accessories and makeup, and the atmosphere of culture is calm and confident!

Over the past 10 years, this small stage has carried and lifted the wandering hearts, hometown feelings and dreams of countless children, and batches of children have been exercised, grown and glorified here. On the occasion of the 10th birthday of the "Ambassador Cup", some of the previous winners collectively recited the long poem "Towards a Brilliant New Decade" co-written by Yang Wenkai, president of Chinese Herald, and Zhang Shi, a writer in Japan:
"In the past ten years, we have listened to the recollection of history and touched the homeland of the spirit.
In the next ten years, the spark will continue to ignite the light of ideals,
The recitation grew up as a bridge of friendship between China and Japan......"

Ten years of hard work is unusual, and we will work together to build our dreams. Inside and outside the venue, on and off the stage, there were active and hard-working figures, who were volunteer teachers and overseas Chinese professionals from various Chinese schools. Behind the stage for the children's dreams to come true, there are countless volunteers who work hard to hold up their arms, and the smooth holding of each ambassador's cup is a condensation of their conscientious and unknown hard work and sweat!

To this end, the conference specially awarded the "Ten Year Ambassador's Cup Contribution Award", and 10 outstanding volunteer representatives, including Zhang Rong, Zhang Dan, Zhang Yang, Shi Yuanyuan, Liu Hong, Wang Zhaohui, Sun Jianli, Li Zhenxi, Chao Nan and Qu Yuan, won this honor. The moment they received the award from the ambassador's wife, Ding Yue, everyone also received a determination and responsibility to continue to work hard and make persistent efforts.

After fierce competition, 150 groups of participating programs were wonderful, Liu Yiyang, Hoshino Hiroshi and Liu Yueting won the "Ambassador Cup Award" in the preschool group, children's group and self-created group respectively, and another 54 contestants won the gold, silver and bronze awards in each group.
