The Municipal Medical Insurance Bureau implements the "price ratio of three common drugs" in designated pharmacies

author:Suizhou Forum

In order to improve the market-led drug price formation mechanism of designated pharmacies, promote the sharing of drug price information, control the inflated drug prices, and facilitate patients to purchase reasonably priced drugs, the Suizhou Municipal Medical Insurance Bureau has strengthened the governance of drug prices, and carried out the monitoring and disclosure of drug price information in designated pharmacies on a regular basis throughout the city.

The Municipal Medical Insurance Bureau contacted some of the two institutions to select 50 kinds of commonly used drugs to be included in the scope of drug price monitoring, and included the city's Tianji, Yifeng, Xiaolin, Sinopharm and other chain pharmacies into the price monitoring point, and organized chain pharmacies to report the retail price of commonly used drugs at the end of each month, and released them through Suizhou Government Network, Suizhou News Network, Suizhou Forum, Suizhou Medical Insurance WeChat public account and other channels.

Through the retail price of commonly used drugs in chain pharmacies announced by the Municipal Medical Insurance Bureau, it is helpful to facilitate patients to choose reasonably priced pharmacies to buy drugs. At the same time, pharmacies control the profit margins of drugs by announcing the prices of commonly used drugs, and effectively curb the disorderly rise of drug prices. The Municipal Medical Insurance Bureau will also adjust the scope of drug monitoring in designated pharmacies in a timely manner according to the needs of the public.
