On April 28, the city launched the third phase of the "Endeavor Mengziyue Forum" - special training on the interpretation of the "double carbon" goal and its impact on production and life.
Tong Shaoyu, a professor from the School of Urban and Environmental Sciences of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, was invited to give a special lecture. Tong Shaoyu gave an in-depth explanation of the mainland's carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals, why to achieve the "double carbon" goals, the main policies and technical routes to achieve the "double carbon" goals, the impact of the "double carbon" goals on key industries and their low-carbon transformation paths, and the impact of the implementation of the "double carbon" goals on our lives.
Tong Shaoyu introduced that carbon peak and carbon neutrality is the only way to conform to the trend of the times of green development, promote high-quality economic and social development, and sustainable development, and is a major strategy for the development of the mainland at present and in the future. The path to achieve this includes adjusting the energy structure, promoting energy decarbonization, reducing industrial carbon emissions, building low-carbon industries, reducing building carbon emissions, developing green buildings, reducing transportation carbon emissions, promoting transportation decarbonization, increasing biological carbon absorption, developing low-carbon agriculture, using carbon trading mechanisms, and developing green finance.
