Russia's "two-pronged" diplomatic and military engagement with China is most likely aimed at building consensus for Russian President Putin's visit to China. Recently, the United States has been hyping up the topic of China's "assistance to Russia's defense industry" and using financial sanctions as a means to force China and Russia to "break contact", but the result has backfired, Blinken has not only "kicked the iron plate" in China, but also promoted closer relations between China and Russia, which is not good news for the United States' strategic planning in the Asia-Pacific, Ukraine and the Middle East.
