On April 23, 2024, the textbook drama "My Growing Pains" of Guiyuan School in Linzhou City was staged in the textbook drama exhibition held by the Municipal Education and Research Center. After nearly two months of preparation, the students appeared on the stage to release their happiness and bloom wonderfully!
Preparation
After receiving the notice of the performance, the school attached great importance to it, made overall arrangements, set up a creative team, and ensured logistics services. Vice Principal Yang Xinyan is specifically responsible for leading the team of teachers to study creativity and start script creation. They first read through the original book "My Growing Pains", delved into the original text, and did detailed research on how to choose the story, how to adapt the story, how to shape the characters, and how to create a plot that can arouse the interest of the audience. In the end, through borrowing, adaptation, original and other ways, the script creation was completed overnight. The teachers of the school's comprehensive group fully cooperated to make and find the props needed for the performance. The teachers of the music group give full play to their strengths, select and produce background music, sound effects, PPT background pictures and videos suitable for the plot according to the script.

In the process of creation, they inspire and influence each other, and constantly enrich their own expressiveness. They read the script together and understood the background of the story, and the teachers patiently guided and practiced repeatedly from the lines of the young actors to the actions, to the performances, to the positioning, to the expression of emotions. They used their spare time to rehearse, treated it as a big deal, and took the initiative to consult professional teachers to learn with an open mind. Through unremitting efforts, the young actors used their wonderful performances to "live" the characters in the script, jointly create their own beautiful moments, and go to an artistic feast!
