In March this year, the Sichuan Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, the Provincial Public Security Department, the Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, and the Provincial Department of Transportation jointly issued the "Several Measures for the Promotion and Application of New Energy Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles in Sichuan Province (2024-2027)" to accelerate the promotion of new energy for medium and heavy commercial vehicles in the province. The "Several Measures" make it clear that by 2027, the new energy rate of medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles in Sichuan Province will exceed 10%, and the proportion of new energy vehicles in newly added and updated buses will exceed 90%. There are a total of 6 measures in the "Several Measures", which mainly include accelerating the promotion and application of new energy medium and heavy trucks in thermal power, steel, coal, coking, nonferrous metals, cement and other industries and logistics parks; strengthening the comprehensive supervision of relevant old vehicles in inspection, maintenance, use and other links; supporting the city (state) to carry out pilot demonstrations of battery swapping and fuel cell vehicle projects; and accelerating the introduction of policy measures and implementation rules to support the promotion and application of new energy medium and heavy commercial vehicles in combination with the actual situation of relevant departments and cities (prefectures).
