On April 26, the reporter learned from the Chengdu Automobile Industry Alliance that in the first quarter of 2024, the national sales of new energy heavy trucks will be 11,075, and the top 10 cities will sell a total of 5,214 vehicles, accounting for 47.1% of the national sales of new energy heavy trucks.
It is reported that among the 1,041 new energy heavy trucks licensed in Chengdu, dump trucks and concrete mixer trucks reached 806 and 161 respectively, accounting for more than 90% in total. In the first quarter of this year, there were 9 dump trucks and 3 mixer trucks in Chengdu new energy heavy trucks, of which the top 5 sales were dump trucks, and 3 vehicles of China National Heavy Duty Truck were on the list.
The new energy of heavy trucks comes from the vigorous promotion of the policy side. In March this year, the Sichuan Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, the Provincial Public Security Department, the Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, and the Provincial Department of Transportation jointly issued the "Several Measures for the Promotion and Application of New Energy Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles in Sichuan Province (2024-2027)" to accelerate the promotion of new energy for medium and heavy commercial vehicles in the province. The "Several Measures" make it clear that by 2027, the new energy rate of medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles in Sichuan Province will exceed 10%, and the proportion of new energy vehicles in newly added and updated buses will exceed 90%. There are a total of 6 measures in the "Several Measures", which mainly include accelerating the promotion and application of new energy medium and heavy trucks in thermal power, steel, coal, coking, nonferrous metals, cement and other industries and logistics parks; strengthening the comprehensive supervision of relevant old vehicles in inspection, maintenance, use and other links; supporting the city (state) to carry out pilot demonstrations of battery swapping and fuel cell vehicle projects; and accelerating the introduction of policy measures and implementation rules to support the promotion and application of new energy medium and heavy commercial vehicles in combination with the actual situation of relevant departments and cities (prefectures).
