At present, many large grain growers in Ziqianglang Village, Midian Town, have seized the festival season and done a good job in spring sowing and seedling raising, laying the foundation for this year's early rice harvest.

Since Qianglang Village is the main rice producing area in the local area, the local Yi people, since their ancestors, have a deep reverence for nature and food, and the farming culture is deeply rooted here. Farming, collecting more grain, and holding the rice bowl firmly in their hands are the most simple ideas of the local people. Starting from the second day of February of the lunar calendar, digging the land, tidying up the seedbed, and then planting and managing the rice, as well as the final harvest and storage, the villagers are meticulous, and the local people hold the new festival in the autumn harvest season, which is the best embodiment of the local farming culture.
This year, more than 1,600 acres of early rice are expected to be planted in Ziqianglang Village, Midian Town, and more than 50 acres of seedlings will be raised in the whole village.
