On April 25, our county held a symposium on Wuxi investigation by the Survey and Statistics Department of the Ministry of Emergency Management in Shuiyun Hotel. Huang Bing, Director of the Disaster Assessment Division of the Survey and Statistics Department of the Ministry of Emergency Management, Zhang Wanyin, Director of the Earthquake and Geological Disaster Rescue Division of the Municipal Emergency Bureau, and Li Zhonghua, member of the Standing Committee of the County Party Committee and executive deputy county magistrate of the county government, attended the meeting.
At the symposium, the exchange mainly focused on the prevention and control of natural disasters in the county. The relevant person in charge of Wuxi County Emergency Bureau reported to the research team on the early disposal of the "6.23" landslide disaster. The county planning and natural resources bureau, the county transportation bureau, the county water conservancy bureau and other departments made exchange speeches.
The research team fully affirmed the handling and investigation and evaluation of the Wuxi "6.23" landslide disaster, which has a great role in promoting the investigation and evaluation of the disaster and further guiding and standardizing the business activities of production enterprises, and is a very typical investigation and evaluation. At the same time, the research team affirmed the work related to the prevention and control of natural disasters in Wuxi and the achievements made since 2023, and was full of expectations for the future of Wuxi.
Li Zhonghua emphasized that in the next step, our county will adhere to the bottom-line goal of "no deaths, fewer injuries, and fewer losses" with a sense of responsibility of "always rest assured", and make every effort to protect the safety of people's lives and property. The first is to consolidate the responsibilities for disaster prevention and control at all levels, further implement the responsibility system of the chief executive, and deepen the system of river chiefs and forest chiefs. Closely following the goal of "controlling major accidents and preventing major disasters", we will accelerate digital empowerment, strengthen the grassroots foundation, and make every effort to do a good job in five key aspects: institutional mechanisms, infrastructure construction, risk management and control, emergency response capabilities, and responsibility implementation. The second is to strengthen the risk management and control of natural disasters, strengthen the overall coordination of "one committee and four fingers", strengthen the investigation and rectification of risks and hidden dangers, and strengthen the response to disaster early warnings. Strengthen the capacity of disaster relief, strengthen the construction of emergency response capacity, strengthen the construction of rescue forces, and strengthen the linkage of emergency response, and strive to make new and greater contributions to the construction of Chinese-style modernization.
