The reason for the "hottest track" is boiling!

author:China Securities Journal

There is a classic plot of A-shares, and every time it is staged, the market is very lively.

This morning, A-shares were sorted by turnover, and among the top 50 stocks, only 4 stocks fell, and most of the rising stocks did not rise smallly: Industrial Fortune Union, with a turnover of 6.734 billion yuan, Zhongji Innolight traded 5.287 billion yuan, up 12.94%, and Wanfeng Aowei traded 4.45 billion yuan, up 4.07%. There are also leading stocks in the industry such as BYD, CNOOC, Haiguang Information, and Fuyao Glass.

Looking at the sectors again, AI, brokers, chips, low-altitude economy, CRO, automobiles, etc. have all risen, and these sectors are also popular varieties in the market. This indicates that the market sentiment is high.

What felt a slight "fly in the ointment" this morning was the sharp decline in the banking sector, which suppressed the upside of the Shanghai Composite Index. By midday, the Shanghai Composite Index was up 0.79%, the Shenzhen Component Index was up 1.51%, and the ChiNext Index was up 2.54%.

According to past experience, the end of April is a period of intensive disclosure of annual and quarterly reports, and the market performance is generally relatively calm due to the pre-holiday effect. However, this year's situation is different, the Shanghai Composite Index has recently ushered in three consecutive yangs, and Hong Kong stocks have strengthened for many days.

AI rebounded strongly

This morning, AI rebounded, which is regarded as the hottest track by many institutions. Copper high-speed connection, computing power leasing, optical modules and other sectors are among the top gainers.

AI has recently had the following catalysts:

First, on April 25, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology and the Beijing Municipal Communications Administration jointly issued the "Implementation Plan for the Construction of Computing Power Infrastructure in Beijing (2024-2027)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Implementation Plan"). According to the Implementation Plan, Beijing plans to build more than 200 industry benchmark cases driven by intelligent computing power to promote digital and intelligent transformation in various fields such as healthcare, education, culture, finance, manufacturing, and energy. Focus on the construction of E-level intelligent computing power highlands such as Haidian, Chaoyang, Yizhuang, and Jingxi, and give priority to accelerating the construction progress of two 10EFLOPS large-scale intelligent computing clusters, focusing on meeting the rapidly growing demand for large model training computing power and inference computing power.

Second, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Tianhe computing network platform was officially released a few days ago. The platform aims to fully integrate the computing power and network resources of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and strive to build three "exascale" supercomputing intelligent computing integrated computing power networks, namely exascale supercomputing capabilities, exascale intelligent computing capabilities, and exabytes of large-scale data management capabilities.

Third, overseas technology giants have raised AI capital expenditures. Meta raised its capex guidance for this year in its Q1 earnings report, saying it had significantly raised its capex forecast for this year from $30 billion to $37 billion to $35 billion to $40 billion as it accelerated infrastructure investment to support its AI roadmap. Meta also expects capital spending to continue to increase next year. Google's capital expenditures in the first quarter were $12 billion, mainly for investments in servers and data centers. Company executives said they expect capital expenditures to remain at similar levels in the coming quarters, and the company is confident in its AI investment. Microsoft's chief financial officer, Amy Hood, said the company's capital expenditure in the most recent quarter was $14 billion and is expected to continue to increase "substantially."

Fourth, China Mobile recently launched the procurement of new intelligent computing centers from 2024 to 2025. According to the tender announcement, the procurement scale of this project reached 8,054 units. The project is divided into two standard packages: Standard Package 1 is 7,994 artificial intelligence servers and ancillary products, and the number of winning bidders is 5 to 7, and Standard Package 2 is 60 white-box switches, and the number of winning bidders is 1. This project is the largest centralized procurement of artificial intelligence servers in the industry.

The quantum technology sector soared

This morning, the quantum technology sector exploded, and the sector rose first in the flush concept sector. Haofeng Technology, Science and Technology Innovation, Tianhe Defense and other stocks ushered in a 20% limit.

On the news side, Japan's National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) and Nvidia recently announced a heavyweight cooperation between the two sides to jointly build advanced quantum computing systems. The project aims to integrate cutting-edge quantum hardware and software technologies, and plans to make this revolutionary service available to enterprises and research institutions around the world from next year, and implement a commercial fee model. This move not only indicates a key step in the practical application of quantum computing technology, but also brings development opportunities to enterprises in the industrial chain.

According to industry insiders, quantum technology is mainly used in quantum computing, quantum encryption communication, quantum measurement and other fields, and the industrial chain from upstream to downstream mainly includes basic optoelectronic components, quantum communication core components, quantum communication transmission trunk line, quantum system platform, application layer A total of 5 links. Quantum technology has broad application prospects, quantum computing can be applied to artificial intelligence, quantitative finance, cryptography analysis and other large-scale computing fields, quantum encrypted communication can be applied to military, government affairs, finance, cloud services and other fields of information security, quantum measurement can be applied to military defense, energy exploration, disaster early warning and other fields.

Soochow Securities said that quantum computing is the core field of quantum information to subvert traditional information technology. Using quantum superposition and coherence, quantum computing can achieve computing power that is multiplied exponentially compared to traditional computers. At present, quantum computers are mainly used in some specific fields, and it is optimistically estimated that in 10-20 years, a universal "universal quantum computer" can be manufactured. The global quantum computing market size is about $4.7 billion in 2023 and is expected to reach $811.7 billion in 2035.
