Specifically, Huawei's shipments in the first quarter of 2024 will be 11.7 million units, a year-on-year increase of 70%, and its market share will reach 17%. Canalys analysts said that the production and supply shortages of the Mate 60 series improved in the first quarter, which was an important factor in Huawei's overall growth, and the release of the nova 12 series also gave Huawei a strong performance in the mid-range price segment.
Thanks to the outstanding performance of the OPPO Reno11 series, OPPO ranked second with 10.9 million units shipped, but the year-on-year shipments fell by 14%. In addition, Canalys analysts also said that OPPO made large-scale marketing investment in AI mobile phones in the first quarter, and gradually took AI functions and innovation as its brand positioning.
Honor ranked third with 10.6 million units shipped, up 9% year-on-year, Vivo ranked fourth with 10.3 million units, down 9% year-on-year, and Apple ranked fifth with just 10 million shipments, down 25% year-on-year.
At present, Counterpoint, IDC and Canalys have all released their first-quarter reports, and the top five mobile phone manufacturers in the market are very close in terms of shipments, so these three companies also have different rankings.
